          Pretty sure fluid is the better of the two. That said at this price point it's much of a muchness

            i just want a cheap, dumb, reliable & durable trainer for non-zwift indoor training.
            not to mention its just my old aldi roadie thats going on it so makes no sense spending too much…
            heaps of people bought the mag trainer last time just wondering if anyone has tried the fluid and can comment?

      Fluid provides a different road feel - the resistance isn't adjustable but the faster the wheel spins the higher the resistance. So supposedly provides a more authentic feel. I'd be interested to hear if this fluid version runs quieter than the mag. I've read that fluid often runs louder.

      I purchased their mag version. I'm happy with the resistance but at higher speeds it creates a bit of a racket (vibration). The vibrations could be due to my bike, though I'm running smooth tyres.

        i remember your comments from the last time this deal was posted…so on average are you happy with your purchase & would you buy again knowing what its like in re noise etc?

        reading the reviews on the fluid trainer listed here some are worrying: noise, lack of resistance etc….
        might be a case where the mag trainer is better option overall than the fluid ?

      ….sounds like theyre both loud & the fluid may be the louder
      have a look at all the 1 & 2 star reviews and youll notice a pattern
