They are way more expensive than other insurance providers… not worth it

    • +2

That's what I'm seeing too. $100 more expensive than others e.g. each with 850 excess

      RACx $605
      Allianz $650
      Westpac $750+

Who gives a shit lmao, you're only holding the policy for a month or so and then cancelling. It will cost you an extra $5 to $10 for a $50 return. I'm so sick of people complaining that this insurance is more expensive blah blah blah when I've had nothing but success taking advantage of all the insurance promotions.

        • Is it a physical card or an e-gift card?

        • How long do you need to hold the policy?

  • Why do they bother with a product that alot of others provide but charge more?
might as well not have it

  • It may have more inclusions or something, who knows

This. It tends to have more inclusions as well as better customer service. With insurance you generally get what you pay for.

      • With insurance you generally get what you pay for.

I guess you've missed all those stories about insurers behaving badly: life/tpd, workers comp, home insurance … the price point of the product doesn't seem to be a factor in the insurer behaving badly.

        • Yeah I think these days that saying needs to be updated to "you don't get more than you paid for". Because you often get less!

    • I would rather go with a bank for my insurance(only life, TDP, income, home, not car as it is with bingle) as their exclusions are lower and are currently scared of complaints.

my super insurance is with Westpac (cheaper) while the super balance is with Aus Super.

  • Anyone scoped out whether you can cancel the policy after getting the gift card? Is it worthwhile?

    • Not really worthwhile.

Bumped up the excess, minimum ks, dropped the agreed value to minimum only reduced it by $20 ($80 from $100 p/m)
You'll probably be up for 2 months premiums before the card is issued (up to 4 weeks from first premium)

Better value Here $100 worth of woolworths reward points for $30 outlay
