  • This is about the price range I am looking at for heaphones for my wife, but I just have no idea about Kogan gear. I'm typing on my kogan mechanical keyboard now, but I am sure I've read plenty of comments about dodgy Kogan gear before.

Be careful as one user reported receiving used stock when it was advertised as “Brand New”.

"Enter Code "ACCC" to receive bonus ear wax on delivery".

Avoid Kogan at all costs, even bargain costs.

    • Why?

      • +3

Shit quality, dismal customer support, and in principle don't support companies that price jack to make profits.

yeah amazing photo listing, shitty quality.
i still remember long time ago throwing the kogan headphone (not this one posted!) 5 mins after i open the package.

I had a wifi kettle that stopped working after 6 months. I contacted Kogan and after sending them a video of the fault (wouldn’t stay on to boil) they immediately sent me a replacement. I got to keep the old one which has since started working (I actually think the issue was caused by to. Much water in the kettle and it boiling over on one occasion). Obviously everyone’s experience is different but that’s mine.

While I'd have to agree with you on the most part, sometimes their ridiculous bargain prices are worth it.

For example, I bought my condenser microphone (complete with scissor arm, shock mount etc) a month ago for $15. While it's definitely not the greatest of microphones, it does the job nicely for only $15 (mainly been using it for Discord and Zoom meetings). I'm pretty sure the RRP was somewhere around $90, which is insanely overpriced - I wouldn't pay anything over $25 for it.

In short, you just have to be wary that Kogan products aren't always the best quality - but they sometimes make up for that in value.

Noise cancelling headphones from different manufacturers range from useless to excellent , you normally get what you pay for , don't know anything about the Kogan NC headphones . But you could safley asssume that for $79.99 , you'll get $79.99 dollars worth of sound quality.

If your'e in the market , best to save for the two industry leaders , Sony , and Bose , with both having excellent re sale value when you want to get rid of them.

      Very well said.

The only time I've found a reasonably good quality product from Kogan is when they really want to dump and delete a line.

Currently using Kogan HD-30 Pro Headphones (Brown) as posted: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/472231, for $19 and it is worth that much. Although sound quality is good, but I cannot bear them after 2 hours.
