Wider Mid Range Phone up to $1000

Hi All,
I am out for upgrade from Samsung S7 edge. All the big phones say big but they are only wider or even less as my current phone. I am not sure it is just me but I use it mostly for browsing and texting and I find wider screen more useful and appealing. And not a big fan of round edge type screens
Please suggest if anybody has found one or if I need to learn to use 20:9 and no way out
Also good screen, at least 256 gb, 90 hz and 5g to future proof

    Mi max 3. Slightly underpowered by today's standards though.

      Thanks Caped. Yes looking for some more power and future proofing as I prefer to hold on and upgrade only after 2-3 years

      Haha…with phone costing $2000, i thought this will be somewhat top of mid

      Ok thanks Marcsie..will have a look at this one. Was ignoring Huawei as was not sure if google ecosystem is well supported now or in future

    Phones now days use a 20:9 aspect ratio, im not sure they even make phones in the old 16:9 ratio anymore like your S7 edge is.

      yes..looks like no option. Maybe will just get larger phone which will be wider and taller
