How exactly retailers and distributors and system intergraters plan to get rid of their inventory of RTX 20series stock?
No deals popping up and price is still very high anywhere I look.

Lots of people don't keep up with tech news and will just buy what's currently available. The sales will probably start only a few days before or a week after the 30xx series cards are released.
cause no wholesaler is getting a rebate to sell something at a loss remember they actually have to pay money, doesn't matter if the RTX3080 come out next few weeks. I really don't understand why people think that supplier can just reduce price and take losses (and yes i understand that would mean that they may have to write off even more later on). They would have to see their sale number drop significantly and for a period of time for them to decide to eat the losses with their limited stocks (note they have stop production of the 20 series).
If you want a deal go buy a second hand one there is definitely wiggle room for a deal or two. But you have to accept there maybe some risks.
Same reason I think people selling RTX2080ti's at the moment for significantly less is unwise, it's nice that the marketing is throwing stuff like 2x the perf around but I expect the real world differences to be less. Wait for third party and uncontrolled benchmarks.
If the marketing is true, then they'll do the fire sales if not they'll get a bit more out of them.
RTX pure hair on
Its not only the RTX cards, but even more so the GTX cards.
They should lose even more value after last week announcements as they lack many key features RT and DLS.
Been checking over the weekend on eBay and sellers asking for offers near RRP for second hand. Yeah nah!
No GTX card should be more than $300 from now on.
I get your point, but I don't think what you're saying is correct in reality.
Prices of cards shouldn't change much for as long as the price ceiling for the series keeps on moving up. Then the older cards become budget based entry points for those needing particular specifications.
For instance if you do 4K gaming then your choices are limited to 1080ti, 2080ti or 3080/90 because you want more than 8GB of RAM for optimum performance.
Perhaps lower range cards will drop, but I would bet they wouldn't too much because there will always be a market for low end "Fortnite/Minecraft" boxes and people will scramble for whatever 'bargain' they can get for the few on the market as the games get more and more popular. Keep an eye out close to Christmas as supplies dry up.
Aust pricing is confirmed yet for the 3000 series. Until it is and stock is available you won't see prices on older series move much if at all. 3000 will initially be higher priced regardless of price OS and people will pay it so you'll need to wait for the initial "must have" rush to be over, then the price for the 3000 series will go to their normal level and older series will start to drop.
ppl expecting AIB 3070 to be 700 bux …. dream on
it's gonna be 900-1000 on launch and out of stock for 3 months
yep, unfortunate truth :/

Nah, it'll probably be around at least $1200 - $1300. Just look at the 2080 Ti and 1080 Ti launches.

Its retail not NASDAQ
this is a country with a massively protected market, and tech is the most protected piece of that market. Big money is made here by cartels.
its not a given that they have inventory to get rid off…
