    I shall pass

This should be called Humble Game Pass.

A couple of interesting titles but the easiest pass yet

Yookee-Laylee was given away for free on Epic.

    • absolutely terrible! that only leaves 11 other possible games (which haven't been given away for free elsewhere) to choose from in the bundle (or all of them if you're on the grandfathered plan I'm on which is $12 USD a month from memory for 12 games).

personally I was happy as it removed: Forager, Strange Brigade, Generation Zero, Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair, Catherine Classic and Vampire: The Masquerade: Coteries of New York from my Steam want list.

Bit weak this month, so pass. Try again next month!

    • +3

It gets weaker by the month.

      • i keep getting offers to join for $12 US a month for 12 months premium but every month its just so bland i cant pull the trigger.

did like my offer of a free month when they had BSG deadlock though!

      • +2

I agree. I paid for a yearly subscription last December and I feel it has been going downhill since then.

  • +1

I'll wait until next month so I can pass again.

  • +3

Weak, the pinnacle was the one with Crash, Spyro, COD and Shenmue and it was $12USD. I don't think we have had a good monthly since.

  • +1

I've been a subscriber since it's inception and I've only ever paused 1 month before. This is my 2nd pause.

Did they run out of cash or something. Probably the worst bundle I've ever seen.

  • +2

It's getting tougher and tougher to justify the Humble Monthly/Choice deal given how many freebies and subscription deals there are these days. Out of this bunch alone:

    • Forager - on Gamepass
    • Golf with Friends - on Gamepass
    • Strange Brigade - was on Gamepass a few months ago
    • Yooka laylee - freebie on Epic
    • Evoland & Catherine - have both been bundled
    • Lethal League Blaze - I get this is a 'new' game, but Lethal League has been given away multiple times, you'd be mad to pay for this

Really all you've got are a few niche, potentially interesting games (Shapeshifting Detective and Occupation both look good) hidden among a lot of paid padding that you can probably get for free or low cost elsewhere.

    • It's not exactly the same to compare to a subscription service that removes games… you pay for these and keep forever.

I was a legacy member (Got slightly better price and game selection) but I finally gave up and unsubscribed last month.

There have been whole months where I havn't even bothered claiming my 10 games.

What happened to you, Humble ? You used to be cool…

They used to throw in one really good game, then maybe some okay games. But it seems lately they are below average games to just make up the bundle.

I think the last time I was really excited was the Spyro bundle; It had spyro trilogy AND crash bandicoot .
        The Humble Bundle swan song

        • +1

I think that one was the last I bought too.

  • I got an email from them that offers premium for AU$18/m for the 1st 12 months, is it worth me signing up so I can keep that price ongoing? 12 mths doesn't sound too bad unless I can't pause certain months?

    • From memory, if you pause you lose the discount. Also, it's been nearly a year since the change to Choice and I've pause every single month since then. So in my opinion, I definitely would NOT take up this "offer".

  • My first back to back pause, real shame.

  • Forager is really good! But do play it via gamepass :_)

  • Wish they'd add some more higher-end or japanese titles.
Even if only x1 game was something I wanted I'd probably stop passing.

    • This. If there was one AAA game, even if a few years old (as long as I didn't already have it), I would buy the bundle every month. As it is currently, the last time I didn't pause was November last year.

I played Generation Zero on a free weekend a few months ago, and thought "Interesting, but not for the discounted price"

But the game stuck in my brain, so this is worth it for me (edit: I'm on the Classic plan, so that's the only way it's worth it).

    Last month, not so much.

Humble Monthly was awesome… Humble Choice SUCKS!

    • I think its their ability to source games, not whether they're using the Monthly or Choice style.

  • Tough job for Humble. They have to check if the games have been given away free on other platforms before including them on Choice.

  • +1

Another hard pass. Already have Catherine, Yooka and evoland. Kinda thinking about unsubscribing from the whole thing. Classic price be damned. Rather not worry about having to pause every single bloody month.

  • This is pretty bad but I did the 12 month annual subscription.

For a collector it was ok I owned only Catherine Classic so I still added 11 new items to my library but yeah honestly even I would pass on this and I am pretty lenient on bad bundles even if I don't own it yet.

Humble Bundle value is hard to pass up though only second to Indie Gala sometimes and Fanatical bundles.

  • Used to be excited for every bundle release weekly or monthly. Now I don't even check humble email or website. Sign….

    • Was that supposed to be "Sigh"??? 😉

  • I am keeping Evoland, Strange Brigade, Vampire and Catherine. PM me if anyone want swap with the rest.

    • What about The Occupation?
