I worked this out a while ago and want to share it.

I was sick of paying through the nose for genuine ink cartridges, and never had much luck with generic ones.

Worked out that the Brother LC67 ink cartridge is called LC65 in USA.

Amazon will ship them to AU as well.

Example 3 pack of colour high yield cartridges US$30 + shipping. Australian suppliers around $80+
Black high yield $25+ shipping Amazon, Officeworks $60, others approx $50.

Price History at C CamelCamelCamel.

    ok price for genuine cartridges.

I have a strong preference for non genuine ones: You can get 22 for $29 delivered from ebay:

    • lol wth. Must be quantity over quantity.

    • Been using these for years and never had any problems

  • I have seen quite a few printers damaged due to non genuine cartridges. Will only buy the real thing. Thanks.

  • I've used non-genuine LC67 catridges in an MFC790CW for about 2 years. Usually just buy from whichever of the local online vendors has the best deal at the time, but works out around $6 per cartridge. Never had a problem, and would have saved enough by now to cover the cost of a new similar printer.
