buy our overpriced bread and well give you a free turkish bread which will be still more expensive than shopping at your local wollies/coles

Some people would pay the extra to not have their bread contaminated by cinnamon remnants and of of course, quality.

the turkish bread at my local Woolies is always stale.

It's fresher and cheaper at the local Turkish restaurant.

Always buy Turkish bread from Turkish restaurants.

I have to disagree on that, too. Bakers' Delight breads are much fresher & better quality ingredients, than most supermarket breads.

    • definitely, but they are still overpriced… a loaf of bread should not cost $5

      • Exactly

        Fact: Bakers Delight are overpriced

But you can't exactly go elsewhere for the same product so you have no choice.

          they have a breadopoly !!!

Not sure where ya'll are getting bread at that price.. the loaves at my local bakers delight are around $3.60??

  • +2

They have an ongoing deal where you can get two loaves of sliced bread for $7, and the loyalty card gives you a free loaf for every 5 purchases over $5 bringing the cost per loaf to $3ish, hardly $5 if you are smart. In addition to that, until recently Bakers Delight (and Brumbies) was the only bread you could buy which contains no preservative 282 (google it) but recently the supermarkets and some major bread makers have stopped including it.

    • it costs $1 per loaf if coles / safeway… big difference, just sayin'

I buy from a local corner Vietnamese bakery. Very fresh and cheaper than supermarkets. :)

  • +2

I stay away from ad hoc corner bakeries especially the cheap ones, their cheap prices tend to reflect in their dry, tasteless items

  • Thanks for the link, don't buy these often but on the odd occasion as a treat so an extra bonus there!
