It's a good mouse but you need to use their software which I really don't like. I'm currently looking for a decent mouse (preferably corsair) to replace it that fits my hand, has back and forward buttons that aren't hard to reach, doesn't have a dedicated aim button or anything useless that will get in the way and isn't a big flamboyant mess but that's a tall order it turns out.

    • Check out the Roccat range. I've got three of their mice and so far I've been pretty happy with the build quality & functions. The software is reasonably low-resource, and while it's designed to look funky it at least does what the label says. On Windows computers I just install, configure, then don't touch it again unless there's an update. On my Mac the mice Just Plain Work.

      • Thanks for the suggestion. Are there any you recommend for someone with big hands who uses palm grip?

        • I don't have overly large hands but I've got a Kova AIMO and find it's a comfortable fit for me without feeling too skinny. If you're right-handed and want something larger then the Kone AIMO Remastered looks wider, although I've never tried one. The best option is if you can find somewhere that stocks Roccat and will allow you to take one out of the box to feel it. I've bought two from EB Games, and because I had a good relationship with the staff in the store they allowed me to do it. When I asked the same thing at JB Hi-Fi they refused, citing 'heath & safety' issues. At least with both of these stores they have generous return policies so if it doesn't work out you can always take it back as long as you're careful with packaging and have original proof-of-purchase.

        • I know it's not Corsair - but G502 is actually really nifty for productivity usage. I don't really play computer game much anymore, so I've turned the mouse buttons into media keys ("sniper" button = play/pause, thumb buttons = volume change, index buttons = skip forward/back, DPI button = volume mute). Also the infinite scroll feature is really handy to get through long websites or PDFs.

Some other ergo mice I've tried include Model D, DeathAdder (hated the software too) and MX Master 2s.

    • why do you need to use their software?

I got Mamba Wireless and barely used the software other than customising the lightings and check for my battery status…

      • You don't need to use it (except for changing RGB and DPI) - but Windows insists on making you download it whenever plugging the device into your system.

        • You can turn that off in control panel.

          • @Void: That's just disabling it from start-up.. I didn't want Synapse at all.

        • Oh yeah i forgot about the DPI…

I actually like the DPI notification when i switch using the button…

  • mine arrived today
