US MAIL FORWARDING

Anyone have much experience with US mail forwarding? Ideally they should have reliable/fast/cheap postage with an address in a state that doesn’t charge sales tax that online companies will actually mail to. Let me know who you think is the best.

Through my credit card they have an association with http://www.borderlinx.com/ doesn’t seam to bad for postage but if anyone has any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  • i have been using myus.com and they have been good, especially their package consolidation service. I am getting 30% better rates and on a free premium membership because i had a promotional offer from amex. however looking at the rates of borderlinx.com it still seems mor expensive. I might look into this company to see if they will be better for me.

  • I previously had an account with mbex.net (mailbox exchange), I had really good service from them and they didn't gouge on freight margins as some others do.

  • If you're a one-off user, you can use the 2 shippers (they are well known on the Vogue forums)

    www.parceliton.com.au - Lyka
    www.shopaholiques.com - Fiona

I have used both and they are wonderful to deal with

They charge shipping at cost (USPS - whatever method you like),+ paypal fees + their consolidation/and or purchasing fees

It's better than paying for monthly fees at MyUS and other similar sites, and from memory, MyUS etc send the items via Fedex/DHL etc which is more expensive than your normal USPS service

Oh.. and they're both located in New Jersey, that doesn't have sales tax on clothing or shoes (7% on all other items)

  • I've used shipito.com before - no problems

  • I'm yet to find anyone cheaper than shipito

  • I used shipito. they were great. They have good rates on Fedex. more expensive than USPS marginally, but heaps quicker.

At the most basic service (which is what I used) you put a deposit of $8 to setup your account which is the cost of handling the first package. The goods I bought reached then within 3 days (no shipping charge to them) then they emailed and I replied and paid for shipping same day and it got to me within 7 days.

  • I used www.shipito.com for two packages so far and am pretty happy with them. The shipping prices are reasonable but if you have a generic dimension box it's even better! They get a discount from USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL and TNT and pass most of it on to their customers. You get to choose which ever company you want so long as your dimensions are accepted by them. Sales tax wasn't an issue for me either.

I've got those two packages on the way right now actually, so far I'm happy with everything.
Both came from Amazon.com to Shipito in Torrance California and then to me via USPS.
I'd definitely use them again if I need something from the US.

I'm happy to answer any questions regarding my exp if you have any.
