    Sort of related info:
I print a lot of work stuff on my Brother MFC-J6930. I was spending an absolute fortune on genuine ink, decided to switch to generic ink from Ebay, which is about 90% cheaper. Gone through about 25 cartridges so far without any troubles, never buying official Brother ink again.

    • i have the Brother MFC-J6930 as well, what cartridges do you recommend on eBay?

      • I vouch for the generics also - lots of printing for work using MFC-J6920DW. Ink Station compatible (Printec) haven't caused me any issues - there's a VIP code on here.

if that link doesnt work search for seller "aussie_toner". Often I go through one colour quicker than the others, so I just message him and he mixes up a multiple colour pack to suit then sends an invoice. Only downside is you have to be home to sign off on delivery, otherwise it ends up at the post office - which is a PIA!!

  • I have a J415W that I have had for ~7 yrs, with uni and 2 kids at school, bought some refillable carts and ink from endless ink. The amount will outlast the printer. The counter is over 12000 now.
