Your typical 25% off deal I guess, but still a good price for anyone who is out of iTunes money.

25% off is no big deal… certainly not worth having to bother logging on at only those times…

    http://www.giftcardsonsale.com.au/

    • agreed.kmart and myer are selling 25% off iTunes cards.no bargain.

      • You really have a problem with me, don't you? You've given a + to the last three negs I got. Look, I'm sorry I told you to put spaces after your full stops. It's not like you took my advice anyway…

  • -3

That fact that you have to purchase a $100 card just to get 75% is a rip off, there have been plenty of 25% off cards that were $20 cards. Impulse purchase I say.

    • +1

i agree that its not as nice as 2 $20s for $30, but the value saved and credit gained is the same. For people who spend lots on itunes store, they might rather a big card than lots of small ones, or for a gift card to someone, a $100 card looks alot nicer than 4 or 6 $20s.

Then there is always the 3% money back.

    • +4

just to get 75% is a rip off,

how can a 25% discount be a rip off ???

      • So let me ask. If there was a $1000 card for $750 you would still think its a good deal, although most people would see it as an impulse purchase?

    • -1

It isn't a spectacular deal, but how does that warrant a neg?

      • +2

        He doesnt have $100. lol

Same 25% saving still a good deal.

      • Because of the links I posted below.

      • -1

At the end of the day you're still stuck wtih $75 in the Apple ecosystem that you'll never see again.

  • Geez there are ALOT of whinging people on the forum. You are saving 25% off a product, but then Neg the deal? If you don't like the deal don't buy one. Or if you think you can do better then post us the link!

Don't neg hkheob for trying to let everyone know about a deal.

    • +3

Ok smarty, here. You don't have to pay $75 to get 25% off.

This is why I negged a deal, 25% is so common, if it was 35 or 40% off I would have voted it up. Also, I may have voted up if the above deals I posted had a purchase limit, but they don't.

I ALSO negged because its only available from 7PM-8PM.

      • Common or not, it is still a saving from normal prices. I agree though, the 7-8 does suck, but not worth a neg. But well done to you….. The deal has 7 positve votes, and your comments in this thread has 8 negative. Congratulations.

        • I'm pretty sure a price that is common is not a 'bargain'. Congrats for commenting on my negs, you must be some kind of wizard or something.

Thanks for the link jared444. If that's the case, it's not really a good deal then. Sorry to neg your previous comment.

      • +1

        @jared444

Understand your thoughts, but thats why we ask people to give reasons why they vote negative. Putting the reasons much later doesnt really help much.

If you are clear and precise upfront then people will accept your point of view. Posting "valid" reasons later smell of trying to justify an initial error.

        But its a learning curve…

"That fact that you have to purchase a $100 card just to get 75% is a rip off, there have been plenty of 25% off cards that were $20 cards. Impulse purchase I say."

I think that's a reason. But if you want me to say:
          1. Others available
          2. One hour only
          3. Impulse purchase.

Which I think is all common sense. it's not my site, if that's what the requirements are I'll do that next time.

          Sorry for any inconveniences…

    • agree with jared444 kmart (and few other stores) running 2x20 for $30 all the time no need to time the 1 hour sale.

  • +1

Still a good deal for a larger denomination card IMHO. Looks much better when gift giving as mentioned above than lots of smaller denom cards. Also can stack this with woolies 5% staff discount and 3% MBC.

    • Lets look at it on the receiver point of view, What you rather as a gift? 5 of the $20 Cards or 1 of $100 card? Anyway the 25% is same doesn't matter what denomination, so may not deserve a -neg. But the only 7-8pm for same deal doesn't deserve a +plus either.

  • +1

Wow, it's like people go on a power trip with these negs. Don't worry guys, I won't post anymore 'deals'.

    • +1

Post bargains, not deals. But keep trying, we all screw up from time to time.

      • -1

How did I screw up? It's not a great deal, but it isn't a bad deal either since you can't currently get it cheaper. Like people have said, it's good if you want to give it as a gift (a single card as opposed to 5 $20 cards).

Sure, if you can get it cheaper elsewhere, neg away. I don't see how it being the same price as other places warrants a neg, considering the benefits of having a single card (and free delivery).

It seems people are so keen to tear you a new one if you post something that isn't spectacular. I tend to only neg if it is an absolutely terrible deal.

        • .

        Post bargains, not deals.

        the top link says Deals

        @jared444

can you show us where it can be purchased cheaper ???

the normal price for this card is $100 and has been temporarily reduced by 25%…

        • +1

          For one hour.

        • -1

          "For one hour."

yep, can you find it cheaper the justify the -ve vote?

      • +2

we all screw up from time to time.

Bit harsh there big fella? Getting up close and personal aye ;)

Granted the availability of iTunes Gift Cards elsewhere also at 25% off equalises this deal, and the limited availability between 7-8pm may be an issue for some, but neither point makes this deal not worthy, because as of right now there are no better deals in terms of % discount offered, only the same. Further, you get 3% back from MBC for DSE which you don't with JB/Myer/Kmart. So really if anything, this deal IS in fact cheaper than others out there at the moment.

As for denomination, some prefer smaller (personal use) or larger (gift giving) and that is subjective. In terms of raw numbers, I think I just proved this deal is potentially better.

kheob, keep 'em coming. If nothing else, jv reminded me of giftcardsonsale.com.au which I had totally forgotten about! Cheers.

        ccrap out…

        • nice ccrap

        • I will, but I'll be more reluctant to do so considering I might 'screw up'. I actually have that website bookmarked! I should have checked before posting this. Oh well…

        • Yeah, 'screwed up'. Take things so literally and personally. Grow up. This is the Internetz.

        • -1

LOL, you made it personal by saying that I screwed up. You're the one who should grow up if you get your kicks by trolling on the internet.

        • You mad bro?

        • +1

Yeah, ok, I've realised you're a complete idiot who can't sustain an argument. Anyway, I'm done with this thread.

    • +2

Wouldnt worry too much, just individual opinion on your post thats all… remember only moderator really have power here, everyone else is just hot air. Thanks to your post i found 2 other places beside kmart i can get those $20 cards, and thats the whole point of ozbargain. Keep posting - cheers

  • wow, so much negative talk for a good bargain. i thought online trolls died out in the 90's
