Quite amazing that it is still on the market, given it is more than 4 years old.

My wife has been using one for 3 years now, other than the flimsy wrist bands, it's a damn good fitness tracker.

    • after 3 years the wife's battery only lasting 2-3 days now other than that yes it does the job

      • the wife's battery

        Considered upgrading?

Have you tried replacing your wife's battery? Replace your wife with eneloop may be?

How is this compare to the new Mi Band ?
One of the thing I like for Fitbit is their app
The Mi app for the tracker was pretty buggy and slow

    • Fitbit software and app is pretty much the best in terms of interface. Chinese companies can't compare as yet.

I ordered mine just 4 years and 2 months ago and still working great. I have had to get the bands replaced, but they were sent out for free by Fitbit under warranty. Battery still lasts at least 3-4 days for me, and even without too much care (throwing it around/scratching it plenty) it works fine.

Can easily recommend at this price.

  • Still got mine from a few years ago.
Like it but my downsides are :
    Not waterproof
Daylight viewing while running etc, is very poor. The brightness isnt enough.

I also bought a MiBand for $30 or so.
I even wore both at the same time.
The Miband didnt track the heart rate well enough..as such, it's been sitting in my drawer for a year now.
It's a shame cause the screen is great….and waterproof.

  • Does curb-side pickup count as in-store??
    Shame if it isn't

I went through about 4 wrist bands on my Fitbit 1 and around 3 bands on my Fitbit 2 before the heart rate tracker cracked. Customer service were ok for a while but then started pulling the whole "your warranty doesn't allow you any more replacements due to the warranty being on your original purchase, blah blah. Mentioned ACCC and they complied, but in the end it just became a chore to go through the long convoluted email / pictures / escalate to another manager again etc. I actually did like the features on them, just the quality was awful.

    Definitely wouldn't buy another. YMMV.

  • "In store only" all things considered, cracks me up this is still a thing.

I'm in Melbourne. The closest store with stock is 703km away. :(

  • I wouldn't buy another Fitbit. I had the Charge HR, and the Charge 2 HR, and the bands broke after 9-12months, and after the first 2 or so replacements they got harder and harder to get.
