Belkin BoostCharge 68W Dual USB-C PD GaN Wall Charger $65 + Delivery @ BeyondTech Electronics

121

Needed something that can charge the Macbook and iPhone/iPad Pro at the same time on my trips, without packing a bunch of chargers.

Found this GaN wall charger that seems to fit all my criteria. Shipping cost $10 to BNE metro.

Tiny size in comparison to the Apple wall chargers, so might try it out.

Dual charge up to 50W MacBook + 18W iPhone/iPad, or single charge up to 60W MacBook. Cables not included.

$89.95 from Belkin delivered if you prefer.

    $10 shipping kinda kills it

    • Buy two. Free shipping for $100 spend.

$10 to Tas as well. It is annoying that you have to supply so much (fake) personal data just to find out what the postage is.

    • Then I don't think this was what you're looking for anyway.

  • Nice that the AU market finally getting GAN chargers.

I'm waiting for my SlimQ F100 (100w multi port GAN charger) from crowdsourcing to finish and arrive…

    • Surprised Apple isn't trying to capture that opportunity by rebranding these at a higher margin.

      • Apple is actually expected to drop their iPhone chargers later this year

  • Forget the figure 8 cable that some preach is actually required. Good to see a proper AU plug.

    • not if you want an AU plug.. or local stock.

      • If you want AU plug: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/US-USA-EU-EURO-ASIA-to-AU-AUS-AU… also the Baseus was certified by ETL which is similar to UL, so it's safe.

        • ok, but aliexpress is going to take more than a month to arrive. Those EU plugs are already too long (their sockets have a recess), and now you need an adapter on top of that. It will stick far out of the wall and look silly. And defeats the purpose of having a compact charger.

Those adapters also look cheap and nasty. I don't trust it.

  • I would buy if the plug was removable and replaceable with international plugs. Would like to have one for travel.

    • I take my Xiaomi power board on trips abroad. Mine came with adapters and USB ports too. For hotels and such it's great.

      • the power board itself would require an adapter. It's too much for me. I don't bring any devices that need their own AC plug. I just bring a USB charger, preferably without needing a travel adapter. Any device that can't be charged by USB, I avoid taking with me.

  • got free delivery… my BASEUS has died today lol

  • Has anyone purchased from Beyondtech? Are they trustworthy? Any issues?

  • Thanks for your reply! Awesome!

    • yeah i find the product to be way more superior than baseus, baseus had a delay when connecting the second device, this one powers on immediately
