Just know that this is the older non-Plus version

1TB WD Black SN750 $204.30 as well. SSD Price's look to have dropped a little today

    • +1

Both SSD's & RAM is dropping due to oversupply. If you can wait, I suggest that you do.

Supply is expected to normalise by Q2 21.

      • I'm basically ignoring most of these deals for now because of that. Maybe black friday might have a higher than average discount

        • +1

Exactly what I am hoping for. Looking for a 4TB SATA for more 'bulk' storage, and a 2TB NVME to put in my third slot.

Currently have a 500gb 970+ as OS, and 1TB Crucial P1 as my current game drive.

        • +1

          Maybe black friday

Good. Impulse buying from ozbargain deals when patience would save me money in the long run is a valuable lesson I learned from here.

  • Have a few spare drives from the surge of NVMe deals from a couple months ago - so will probably pass on this one :/

can' find comparable for kingston a2000.

Seems that WD and others are catching up and cheaper than Samsung now except at the top end?

  • WD Black SN750 OR Samsung 970 Evo? I'm struggling

    • +3

I would get the WD Black as it's cheaper and as good as the old 970 Evo.

  • +1

Yes, great for holders of a 28D card with price protection!

  • The EVO plus 1TB NVME was $244 net delivered a few weeks ago from Aus sellers after the $44 cashback from Samsung.
Currently at $283 delivered but cash back has finished so if you need one now the Amazon deal is probably the best option if the non plus model is of no concern to you.

  • Is it worth paying for Samsung tax

    • Went with the WD Blacks myself.

  • Can this be used for macbook pro 2013?

    • yes….for samsung ssd, evo version suits mbp/mba upgrade but evo+ version not.

BUT i suggest u not 2 adopt this one, coz it is too hot for laptop, especially macbook. And mbp 2013 does not need such a fast ssd due to motherboard
      transisty limit.

So, just buy a cheaper branded ssd with 1500 write(cap) and 1500 read(cap).

    • One more thing, for Macbook(not matter old or new), thermal control is the first thing you should consider before everything else.

      • Oh okay. Can anybody suggest something who upgraded macbook ssd?

  • Worth noting that the Plus version of this was actually cheaper than this non-Plus with the cashback (local stock) not too long ago.

Might be worth holding out for a similar price again for it, otherwise should just get the WD Black SN750 for ~$207

  • 2TB under $300!! come on instant tax write off!

  • Can Some one tell me why this and WD Black is better than crucial 1TB which usually sells for $150 ?

    • Crucial P1 is QLC
