Sorry but that is a load of crap. The browser will give a warning due to your use of LetsEncrypt to generate an SSL Certificate for free rather than paying for one. Any legitimate commerce site should be paying for valid SSL certs.
As for whitelisting IP Addresses. Why would anyone do that for a commerce site? If your firewall is so sensitive that it was blocking customers then I suggest you have an issue with your setup and need to address it rather than.
