All You Can Eat - Sydney 2020

Hey everyone,

I've completed a search on the forums for decent all you can eat places and the last listings were pretty poor and from a few years ago.

Can anyone suggest some decent places in and around the Sydney area worth visiting and supporting?

Here's a few I've been to, I'll rate out 10.

Bah-B-Q
https://bahbq.com.au/
$82 (Full Experience)
9/10 - Probably the best but you pay for it
Super friendly staff, Awesome food and quality, Great wine bar range, these guys know their stuff.

Churrasco Coogee
https://www.churrasco.com.au
$50
7/10 - Solid Feed, would go back
Close to the beach, plenty of seating, good variety

Espetus Brazilian Steak House
https://espetus.com.au/
Wooloomooloo
$50
7/10 - Solid Feed, would go back
Large serving sizes, plenty of variety, seating is uncomfortable - but I think they do that deliberately so you don't stay there too long.

Charcoal Mine BBQ House
www.bbq.com.au
Parramatta
$40
1/10 - Absolute Garbage
When the coals cooled down they wanted to charge me to replace them over, not only that the trays of food were far a few between and most of the meats were still thawing out. If you do happen to go don't wear good clothes as the ventilation system as crap.

Theres a few RSL's I've been to but not really worth mentioning - does anyone have any hot tips or decent places they can vouch for? Keen to see what else is available, cuisine and $$$ wise.

Post away friends.

Se Jong kBBQ - Campsie or Sydney CBD

    Wagyu House - Parramatta Road

Both of these are pretty good and extremely popular korean type barbecue buffets.

    • thanks! pricing?

Sejong in Campsie used to be $14 for lunch a few years back, I'm sure its WAY more now ..

I haven't been in a little while but off my head:

Se Jong: ~$40 per person, includes everything (inc dessert) except drinks.
Wagyu House: ~$32 per person, same inclusions as above

Due to the value, they are extemely popular during peak periods.
Definitely not fine dining, but a fun and relatively delicious outing.

    • awesome appreciate the feedback!

  • Interesting, the only ones that should be operating are those that serve you. Buffets are supposed to be out.

Premier Gladys Berejiklian says pubs, cafes and restaurants will be able to serve up to 50 people at a time from June 1, as NSW coronavirus cases continue to decline.

The Premier described expanding the social-distancing limits as a "big step" in the state's economic recovery from COVID-19.

Under the new measures, hospitality venues will be required to adhere to strict guidelines to operate:

Each patron must have at least four-square-metres of space
Bookings can be no larger than 10 people
No patrons will be allowed to stand, mingle or dance
Shared cutlery and buffets are also banned

Can I eat at a restaurant, cafe or pub?
New South Wales – Yes, but from Friday, 17 July, new limits applied on how man people can be inside cafes, bistros and restaurants. Group bookings are limited to 10 people, with venues observing the four square metre per person rule up to a cap of 300 people at any one time. A dedicated marshal must oversee social distancing at all venues with a capacity greater than 250 at all times, while a marshal is only required during lunch and dinner peaks at hotels with a capacity less than 250. All diners must provide their name and contact details, including a phone number or email address, to allow for contact tracing. Food courts have reopened.

  • Be careful handing the serving utensils.

    • Most buffet now change to serve per portion so no utensils

  • Is Nishiki Crows Nest still open? My googling says it's moved to Bexley North? :(

    • i tried to read the site for the all you can eat listing but the Chinese translation didn't help much - any idea if we can confirm pricing etc???

      • I went about a month ago, it was $38 for lunch time weekday, I think $48 for weekend lunch. Don't remember dinner price sorry.
