Suggest Me a Cheap Good Mattress Topper / Foam Underlay

I have a queen sized mattress with some loose springs. I want to make this last long a little and thinking of getting a mattress topper or a foam underlay.
I simulated it by keeping a quilt (700gsm Marino) in a similar way and it seems quite comfortable and can sleep without an issue.

I found below from Kmart & Kogan and thinking about getting option 1.
Does any one has experience with any of these ? is there any other cheaper options (cheaper including delivery is better due to stage 4 lock-down) ?

  1. Strapped Airflow Mattress Topper - Queen Bed, White $45+free delivery
  2. Mattress Topper with Bamboo Blend Top Cover - Queen Bed $39+free delivery with some other items to cover $45
  3. High Loft Mattress Topper - Queen Bed, White $49+free delivery

  5. Ovela Goose Down and Feather Mattress Topper (Queen) $50+free delivery code SWEET

The problem with your choices is that its cotton/poly filling. What you really need is foam or foam filling.

I have this and i find it sufficient:

If you spend a bit more and get a cheapo all foam mattress and put it over your existing spring mattress, it will feel like a completely brand new bed:

      Disagree completely!
the more foam the topper / mattress has the hotter it will be to sleep on.
low density foam (which is pretty much any foam product sold in aus) is going to get very hot very qucikly.
High density foam can manage heat better (less air holes to fill with your body heat) but are super expensive (Tempur mattresses for example)

The more cotton the topper contains the cooler it will be overall.
if you looking for a short term solution then a topper with minimal foam is the way to go.
Long term i would suggest OP invest in a new mattress.. his/her back and body will thank him/her for it in the long run

Problem is the springs. The cotton/poly topper is not going to provide a thick enough cushion to prevent the body from feeling the protruding metal springs.

    • Thanks for the links, I will check for similar foam underlays as well.

If you have Costco membership here are some options.

    • Thanks mate, but I don't have a membership.
