Who is the favorite and how do I spell their code/name?

  • What are the codes for the teams

  • +7

    Competition not deal

  • +10

    Coupons:

    Eagles
    Tigers

    You can apply both

    • Yes I applied Eagles and it worked. Thank you :)

      • +1

I applied eagles as well and got a coupon “ enjoy $0.05 off, conditions apply”.

  • +10

You need to place an order first to be eligible for $16 off your next order if your team wins.

    1. Apply the promo code for the team you think will win tonight's game from the list below.
    2. Search for a Maccas restaurant.
    3. Add 1 or more Maccas items to your cart ($0.05 will be deducted from your total order value).
    4. Place your order before half time.

If you apply the code of the team that wins, we will email you a promo code for $16 to use on your next Maccas Orde with Uber Eats.

This is just gambling then. With fast food. There's a chance you might get $16 of free fast food.

    • Can we schedule an order for after the end of the game?

  • +4

You need to actually place an order and then it's a competition

  • +3

Also, this promo is average, you need to actually order something with the promo code and if they win you get $16 off next order.

  • +3

This deal is missing too much info.

  • +4

I suppose you could always add free ($0) ketchup, pay the delivery fee ($6.99) for a total of $6.94 and hope you win the gamble lol

You’d be $9.06 in the clear….and have a packet of ketchup to boot.

    • +2

If you do 2 orders like that, 1 for each team, you will be guaranteed $2.12 Profit to use at Maccas.

      • +3

Hedge your bets, keep your ketchup!

      • +2

        Someone's been matched betting

    • Can you pickup ketchup?
Edit i see the code is delivery only

  • -1

    Free $16 Maccas Watch

How can the watch be free if you a paying $16 ?????????

    • Yeah it’s suss. it’s $16 for the free watch

  • +1

You have to order something first and if the team wins you will get $16 coupon on your next order. So this is Uber's way of gambling?

  • +1

what if the match is a draw?

    • No vouchers for anyone because there was no winner? The T&C’s don’t mention what happens in the event of a draw!

  • +1

Sounds like a competition to me. 50% chance of getting a $16 off voucher.

  • +8

Not a deal it's a game of chance not a bargain

    • -4

If your so worried play with 2 accounts or free 50% chance .

Not the smartest neg I've seen .

      • +1

They do kind of have a point, unless you were already making the purchase this is similar to gambling.

Would have to make a purchase on both accounts to guarantee it which would mean 2 x $6.99 delivery fees

        OP should really clarify conditions

      • 8 Positive vs your -4 votes not the smartest tool in the shed hey mate

    • Betting market have Tigers at $1.69 favorites its better mathematically just to whack away with the 58% chance of happening code with of course higher expectation( EV for my not the smartest neg friend ) :)

Making the coupon on Tigers worth $9.28 .

  • +8

Please don't be suckered into this garbage marketing. If you weren't ordering McDonald's to begin with that is.

    Screw uber.

  • The link for the t&c’s is http://t.uber.com/winners-dinners but I get the following error:

    Error: Server Error

The server encountered an error and could not complete your request.
Please try again in 30 seconds.

Anyone else have the same issue?

    • Never mind works now!

  • +5

    lame

This is a competition, not a deal.

    • -1

      Insightful explanation of a neg.

      Edit: you edited

  • If you can't win customers..trick em into free mcdonalds, that isn't free.

  • +1

Definitely a competition and not a deal. Too risky.

    • +1

Apply the promo code for the team you think is going to win BEFORE half time. If your team wins you get the coupon.

Imagine a team is up by a huge amount prior to half time .

I know its hard to imagine and you might have a 90% chance coupon worth $14 + .

That the play to teach some how to do it :)

      • Imagine they're not and they're dead even at half time. Your made up 90% statistic becomes nothing.

      • I watched the bombers game. Thought we were a chance 25 to 1 and won a small amount for the small amount placed.

  • Clicked a lot and still cannot value

  • I'll stick with Menulog's guaranteed $5 off with free pickup.

Uber love this targeted rubbish and making people jump through hoops. Really not worth it.

  • This is OK.

As others have touched on, up to half-time means there will be cases where there's a big margin at half time.

Right now Geelong are $1.55 favourites which gives implied win-rate of 64.5%. This is probably not good enough to get excited about because it's .645 of $16 ($10.32) off a future purchase when two delivery fees are going to be involved. I think if Geelong were smashing them before half time and got into $1.20 favs (83.33% implied win-rate, or $13.33) it's looking a little better.

Probably not worth bothering with unless you're hitting McDonalds up regularly but not a totally useless promo.
