Have you seen the prices of similar DC fans?
we imported air conditoners and fans from china for the past 20 years, we know the prices they cost to land in OZ. The retailers are taking people for a ride
Be aware that this fan is the one WITHOUT the battery.
So many models/brands of DC fans, is this the one without the buttons and/or remote too?
And wasn't there one which forgot the last used speed when it was powered off?Noob when it comes to fan, what's the purpose of the battery?
Fans need electricity to run. This fan needs to be plugged in to a socket to run. The one with a battery doesn't need to be plugged in, but will need to be recharged occasionally
I have the one with battery. Less control button on the fan and no way to tell the level of charged battery.
hate to admit it but i'm one to trip on cables and destroyed the whole unit @.@ so usually i try to spend bit more for less cable
Bit o/t but is this allowed? (from product listing)
"You should contact the manufacturer identified on the warranty document to determine whether or not the warranty applies to the goods in Australia and if so, how you should go about making a claim under such a warranty."
My understanding is that the retailer isn't allowed to palm warranty off to the manufacturer?
My understanding is that the retailer isn't allowed to palm warranty off to the manufacturer?
That is correct, if you buy from an Australian retailer.
To be fair - not something I normally associate with Kogan - this refers to additional warranty documentation that may or may not be inside the box from when it was packed overseas. Kogan still provides their own warranty based on Australian consumer law and they clearly state this.
However, they do also state:
In most instances, where you experience an issue with a product that comes with a manufacturer’s warranty, the manufacturer will be able to provide a faster assessment and remedy than us.
In other words: yeah, we provide a warranty, but good luck getting us to do anything about it.
Is it any better than a regular metal fan for a 35 degree Australian summer?
Yes, quieter, uses less power and can go at slower speeds than a regular fan when required.
In my room it gets really hot during summer especially during night. Even having 3 fans doesn't help.
The main problem of Summers is the high humdity. If you can get rid of that they you're good. Otherwise a fan is useless as you're just displacing little of the humid air.
@nobro25: Yes, you are right. May be I should get a dehumidifier.
@Iluvfreebies: Be aware many dehumidifiers actually raise the temperature in removing water from the air.
where are these 35 degree summers you speak of? I would like my summer to be that cool…
Ha ha , Brisbane.
I remember Kogan sold a good one and a crap one, which one is this?
Was one Kogan one a rebranded Kambrook? Was that the good one?
This is not Kogan brand, it's Xiaomi.
Which one is superior?
These Xaiomi fans need bigger blades.
Also I'd be dodging the model without the internal battery. Why? Batteries don't last forever. You're always near a power point. Let's have less landfill..
The one thing i'm dreading about working from home - Summer.
Crap.. aircon bill
Can't we claim that as a tax deduction?
What's good about the one with the internal battery?
You can take it to the beach
Does this blow more air than a cheapo Kmart fan or is it just more power efficient?
Quieter and more efficient. You'll get the same air for less money.
Sorry, this item has just sold out and could not be added to your cart
:(
Is it compatible with Amazon Alexa?
Xiaomi Mijia Frequency Conversion is 79 on the dick smith website. 109 on kogan.
Anyone tried this variant ?
What makes it 'smart' ?
