Hey all,
I'm looking for a place to find good condition used thermal shipping label printers. Specifically, those that print on 150 x 100 mm rolls.
I've found a few random ones on eBay but hoping someone can point to a few other sources.

+1 for the GK420D. You can also try a GC420d. I use both at work and they are pretty rock solid. When you get it, hold down the feeder button to calibrate it for the size labels you're using.
I have experience buying brand new Zebra thermal printers from Peacock Bros and Avery Dennison. These businesses have also done printer repairs for me, so perhaps you could call or email them to ask if they have any used/repaired ones for sale.
You mentioned finding a few random ones on ebay. A quick search found many used Zebra GK420d models for sale. These are a venerable model that will go all day…

Going back a bit further, the LP2844 were also a good printer, might be an option depending on your connectivity needs…

PB are fantastic. We buy our labels from them.
Unless you need to print 100s per day, just use a normal office printer 👍
Dont need no damn industrial label printer 🤦♂️
I'm with you… Print on A5 paper if you're using the satchels, they slip straight in without needing to do anything.
If using your own packaging, then yes I can see a label printer being a plus to save taping the print out down etc, but you have to be sending a few items to justify having a special printer for the task.
I get where you're coming from and that what I'm doing now. Just bought a new laser cartridge for $100 and thought to myself, maybe I could find a used label printer for around the same price and not need to buy cartridges anymore.
Having a machine that does 100 labels per minute can trigger buyers remorse
DYMO 4XL is awesome.
Works on both Mac & PC, easy to setup. About 3/4 the price of the industrial ones. Plus if you buy from officeworks, the warranty is solid.

I bought a used Zebra GK420D off ebay 3 months ago. Its excellent, prints out Mypost business labels very well on 150 x 100 rolls.
