          I personally have never purchased from these guys - if they are anything like Automotive Superstore where i'm on week 13 of waiting for one of my orders with no contact, no email replys, no phone lines, no facebook replies then they def do deserve the ACCC to investigate them like former.

            @letmethefuqin: Sadly I have dealt with these guys before and never would bother again. Sparesbox can take a bit of time to ship during a sale but at least they give you notifications about the delay and when it ships, where these guys take a month to reply to a simple email.

      I have this head deck and feel the need to stress that $599 is not a bargain at all, it is just less than some bullcrap RRP number.

      Also the DAB reception is poor.

    Low res junk to be fair, the manufacturers need to start bringing in nicer IPS, Capacitive Touch, 720p+ displays at this $500~ price point and stop gouging the market with this garbage.

      No they don't, the resolution on these head units are fine, not every screen has to be 4k HDR OLED IPS 144hz..

        Not everything has to be 4K but this is 800x480 on a 7" screen!!!
        Say what you want but 720p would be a big step up.

        And resistive touch is definitely rubbish compared to capacitive.

            @magic8ballgag: Yes, I have used it. It works, you can see the icons and read the text.

            But have you used a model with a better screen (higher resolution)? Everything looks much better and that was the point. Nobody is talking about 4K apart from you. An increase to 720 (or better) was suggested before you blew it out of proportions.

            Another point may be the user's age. Lots of people above 50 won't be able to tell the difference.

              Of course a higher resolution would be better, but then you would be probably complaining about the price instead.

              Why do you think that a manufacturer like Sony, who is well-known for their award-winning panels, decided it would be okay to release so many head-units (that sell like hotcakes mind you) with theses specifications?

                Yes, the higher resolution would be better. That was the whole point before you argued otherwise.

                And maybe consider that the cheap models are being sold to keep the prices artificially higher for the "higher end models".

                And please go back and read again your paragraph about Sony and these units again:
                1. head units sell like hotcakes
                2. they are releasing so many of these cheap units so they have to be good
                3. Sony won awards so every product they make must be good
                Wow, just wow.

                I will not reply any more, can't see much point.

    AX5000 has been on Ozbargain around the $450 mark 3 months ago, and you guys were selling the AX3000 for $459 just about 2 months ago. So it's a bit hard to get excited about it now being on special for $599…?

          They’re not ‘offers’ thought at all.

          It’s been shown others are selling for significant less than what your ‘deal’ is.
          Don’t even try and say that camera is even remotely worth the $129 as you’re trying to claim as that’s a fantasy price (regardless of what Pioneer claim the RRP is) as it’s no better than a $10 camera off eBay.

      Thanks for the message. Due to the nation-wide stock shortage being felt by everyone at the moment, we've got to be a little careful about our pricing based on the amount of stock that's around. I.e. when the AX3000 allocation we've got is sold out, there isn't an estimate on when stock will be refilled. Times are rough at the moment due to stock shortages.

        There is no stock anywhere in the country on pretty much every unit. If you go into any of your local super cheap / autobahn they will tell you the same thing, there has been no stock since April

        Only the past few weeks I’ve started to see kenwood units pop up

        The worst part of this is because of supply and demand there are no bargains to be had because the average joe who’s been waiting months will pay the inflated price :/

          I really don't get what's the rush… even if your headunit is so broken that the aux doesn't work, just get a 2nd hand oem unit or play through bluetooth speakers for a month or so?
