Hi everyone, I'm planning to build a new Mini ITX Pc and while doing some price check around and noticed that you could buy so many cheaper PC parts on Amazon. I'm using Amazon Au but most of the cheaper parts I can find are sold by either Amazon UK or US. So if I'm using Amazon AU account, but items are sold by different regional Amazon, do I have to pay the tax when the items arrive Au border? And how do I pay it? I have dug around the internet but still couldn't find the answer. Appreciate all the help.
How Does The GST Law Work When Buying from Amazon AU but Order Fulfilled by Amazon UK or US?

You do nothing, you pay the price that is advertised on AU.
And at the end of the day it still works out cheaper than buying anything from Harvey Norman. Gerry Harvey caused this to happen sooner than it would have for no good reason at all.
If you're buying via amazon.com.au they already include GST in the prices, but they seem to arbitrarily add an additional significant customs fee on top of the GST for orders over $1000 AUD from Amazon US and UK via amazon.com.au (advised only on checkout). They pretend like this may be refunded if they take too much but it never is.
Assuming the individual items are less than < $1000 you just split it into multiple orders to avoid that which is silly but there you go.
Thanks guys. I will start ordering some parts from Amazon early then. Hopefully they will not take too long to arrive :(.
Amazon.com.au will include the import taxes/fees at checkout as per normal.
