    with Bonus Solar Panel

Does it qualify for the government grant?

    • +1

Kenny you let me know ASAP

  • +3

    Looks like great price.

  • About to order two units but its doubling up on the shipping, does that sound right?

    Shipping for me is $24.98

    • +1

$124 shipped on ebay plus on ebay using code PIN10

      • +1

        Yup cheaper Definitely.
Shopping Square wanted to charge 2units for a total of $256.68
eBay Link = 2 units $243.43 Express shipping too for eBay plus.

        thanks @GregFiona

How did you find that discount code?

EDIT: Getting 2 units also got another 5% off as well, meaning express shipping for each unit and can also use PAYPAL to pay making it $121.715

        • Code just appeared on the item’s page: Take at least AU $11.40 off this item(show me how)

  • +1

Good price, would be awesome if shipping was free.
Also, optional solar panel looks different than the one I got a couple of months ago, mine is completely black(back and front)

    • +1

From Previous post on the other thread, the white panel is thinner apparently and newer but the same performance

  • +2

According to the Official Reolink Store on Aliexpress they will be AU$114.15 inc shipping tomorrow, AU stock.

    • Where is Shopping Square going to post their item from? Where are they based?

      • Technically Shopping Square is based in Sydney, but they have both shipped from Sydney (received within 2 days) and HK before to me. But they do give you tax invoice and stuff.

    • +2

You will need to add GST to that. So it's $125.56

      • True, being AU stock i'd wrongly presumed it was added already… plus then deduct the random discount codes they have up and remove the cashback… final price = ??? something.

        • Idk it's not always the same coupons for people, but I bought a kit from there was super cheap lol the 4xD800 + NVR, for $580 delivered and it took 2 days for delivery, then added extra D800s for under 80 each

  • +1

" It DOES NOT support any onvif third party software or NVR for 7/24 recording."

    • +2

They also lag a few seconds before they start to record so can miss things, however for the price and ease of being able to put them in locations it would be a pain to wire to they are good.

    • None of the battery cameras that I'm aware doing 24/7 recording. Especially in this price range.

    • thats a deal breaker for me. 24/7 recording is essential, even if its 3 days rotate

      • +2

You'd be replacing or charging batteries daily

  • +3

They’re reliable and good. Biggest gripes for me:
    - you can only have 1 camera on the free plan
    - you have to renew the free plan monthly. Yawn.

    • what free plan?

      • Cloud based recording.

        • Oops, I had completely forgotten about that. Never activated mine, just accessing the recordings from the memory card through the app

        • Do you need the plan to access live footage or just storage?

    • +1

Yeah the free plan renewal, while only a couple of clicks, is annoying

    • oh cloud recording you say? how many days does it store? is it 24/7 recording for cloud storage?

  • How can one retrieve recording if motion is detected?
Is it over the wifi via scp? Or is it physically plugging the SDCard out?

    • Over wifi

      • +1

Not only local wifi, you can access the recordings from anywhere as long as the camera is connected to the internet

  • Assuming that these arent Google Home enabled? Cant see anything to suggest so.

    • They are compatible with Google assistant.

Argus 2, Argus Eco, Argus Pro, Argus PT, Argus 3, E1, E1 pro, E1 zoom, Reolink Lumus
POE camera IP cameras with hardware IPC_513 and 515
WiFi camera IP cameras with hardware IPC_513 and 515

NVR isn't tho so can't use the PoE or WiFi cams through a NVR and still have GA

      • Thats good to know. How do these compare to these :

        https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B07ZR39BJY/ref=ppx_yo_d…

I bought a pair of these and have installed one so far and am quit impressed with it. Battery life is still above 50% after 3 weeks with no re-charge, notifications are pretty instant, works with my Google gear and integrates well. Looking at maybe getting a few more.

        • These are an improvement, argus 3 improves on these with a added spotlight

  • I have one. Its ok, but the motion detection is limited to and a bit too delayed.

Also its very buggy to access remotely via mobile network and i often need to reboot it over wifi for it to be accessible over mobile again.

    Solar panel works great.

    • I changed my WiFi channels around and it solved some of these issues.

    • I have never had to reboot mine, sometimes it doesn't connect on the first try but it will eventually connect

      • Lucky you i guess haha. When mine won't connect it just wont unless i re-attach to wifi, then it works. It's a widespread issue for mobile access, found it all over forums after i encountered it. I have other other non-reo cams with no such issues. Could just be the app but dunno.

        • Never had issues on my end as well, they are brilliant cameras highly recommended.

  • Not intending to buy one since I want my devices to be Homekit certified but the name Argus sends shivers down my spine. Watch the TV series American Gods 😉

    • "…the name Argus sends shivers down my Anus" fixed it for you :)

    • 2 diff cameras tho, a argus 2 and e1 and its with the older solar panel, also the e1 are indoor cams

  • bought reolink rlc 511w couple of weeks ago and really happy with the quality of the camera ! check that out

    • Other than their shapes. is RLC 511W better than Argus 2 and 3?

      • not sure about argus 2 n 3… but i am really happy with my rlc 511w ..

      • +1

Other than their shapes, the biggest difference is that the 511W is a wired(power) camera, Argus 2 and 3 are wire-free(battery operated).
In terms of specs, 511W is the winner, but they are not similar products

  • Is there a SIM card version of this camera
