Ticwatch Pro Bluetooth Smart Watch, Dual-Layered Display, NFC Payment, Google Assistant, Android Wear, Compatible with iOS and Android (Pro 4G-AU)

Try as I might, I couldn't find why the watch has been classified with the AU prefix, because as far as my research has gone I don't believe it's esim is supported by Telstra but will give it a go when mine arrives.

Otherwise this watch is the same as the more expensive Pro 2020, but with 'swim ready' up to 1.5m depth and a sports band rather than hybrid leather (leather doesn't go too well with chlorine/salt water).
Bands are interchangeable with any of the 22mm bands out there.

Add both promotions at Amazon checkout and the total for the top of the line ticwatch and their previous gen ear buds comes down to under $370!

Not too bad as the new buds are meant to be a huge step up on the previous, but ships October (from US), non 4g/Lte swimming rated (warranty) watch.

Personally I've got a set of Samsung buds+ so I doubt I'll even use these buds included, might just try and sell them off for $50 or something.

I also forgot to mention the extra $12 in shopback cash.

      • No cash back as it's classified under electronics

        • +1

Yes shopback as it's classified as wearable tech.

AUD 11.37 just for watch only. May be I didn't add the buds properly

          • +1

@hopper: Mine was about that too, I just rounded up.
I think because the buds are technically free there's no cash back on those, just the total.

Either way still a good price all up.

  • Been eyeing to buy this from months, only thing stopping me is support for LTE. Might pull trigger as deal is with free buds

Edit: purchased, hoping it will work with Telstra network and not sure if they come with Au charger? Optus and Vodafone also now supports e-sim

  • I'm assuming this isn't the SD4100 SoC version that was announced a couple of months ago?

    • +1

No, because that's not released yet, let alone on a price. We could dream though.

    • No, it's the 2100 with 1GB RAM. The RAM makes all the difference. I have the Pro 2020 (OP compares above), also with 1GB RAM - amazing what a difference the RAM makes. Had the original E, the difference is chalk and cheese. That being said, it just makes the watch more usable - responsive UI, full-day battery life. With the exception that the battery lasts (much) longer in sports tracking, and the build quality, Wear OS apps and options still need work.

      • 2020 pro has 3100?

        • No, Pro 2020 has 2100 with 1GB RAM, SAME as the Pro LTE

        • MobVoi never made a TicWatch with the 3100 for some reason.

          • @Trishool: Early on, only Fossil had access to the 3100. Now the 4100 is announced, TicWatch have been given first dibs. The 4100 doesn't appear to be a huge advance over the 3100, so I'm guessing they just invested their resources in jumping to the 4100.

The 2100+1GB RAM was a clever play - the 1GB RAM has a significant advantage over the earlier 512MB, and gave them a performance advantage, and TicWatch's dual-display provided a power saving.

  • Ive been trying to work out if the e-sim actually works in AUS otherwise id buy one too! it would be good to know…

    • I took the bullet. Hoping it will work for telstra else might sell it off. The uk version is also available for sale from first class watches

Activated Telstra eSim on the watch without any issue. loving the watch so far :)

      • Wow I'm impressed. Thanks for the update. I wonder if it works on Optus. The other thing is I have a small wrist :( I hope it's not too big

        • Optus doesn't provide esim for prepaid as per their website, so can't comment.
I say check the measurements and try matching them to fossil once, which u can try in a store. Like diesel or MK

  • I can't seem to find the ticpods for the deal. Can anyone point me in the correct direction?

  • +1

received the watch and ear buds. Activated Telstra prepaid eSim without any issues, Works like treat, was able to use 4g data for streaming music and installing apps. was able to make and receive calls over 4g LTE without any issue. Great watch with great battery life so far
only con is the specs says Amoled but i can see the blacks same as LCD display. And also not a high resolution screen (which might increase battery life).

    • Nice one first I have seen someone confirming it works good pickup!

    • Sold my Ticpods for $70 making the price under $299 + Cash back :)

      • Awesome! Hows the battery life?

        • i get 2 days. (GPS tracking, Taking calls from watch, Listening music from watch, HR tracking).

          • @hopper: Awesome they seem good and new one just came out so hoping I get this in the next one.
