Suggestions on Where to Buy Sunglasses with Glass Lenses

Any ideas on where I can pick up some sunnies with glass lenses in them, that don’t cost the world?

Anyone seen any about that I should check out?

All I can find is Aviator Ray Bans that cost like 200 bucks.

  • All I can find is Aviator ray bans that cost like 200 bucks.

I don't think the Ray-Bans make 100% Glass Lens anymore; they are either plastic or crystal (mix of glass and polycarbonate).

  • I just can’t stand how polycarbonate lenses scratch so easily. I had some American Optics glass sunnies once and they were near impossible to scratch.
Polycarbonate ones last about a week in my line of work

    • Tiler by any chance? I'm the same, tile dust destroys them in no time..

  • Im sure there are also cheaper styles in RayBans that are glass. Look out for sales.

Serenghettis aren’t cheap but I love them.

    • Are any of these glass lensed?

      • They say Corning glass in the description with, at least, some of them. It feels like glass with the ones I have.

  • Sunglass hut. Try this code SAVE50 on min $250 purchase. Closes tomorrow night. Could be targeted, but doubt it.

Okay so I thought i'd update yaz.

Found a few more really nice brands of sunglasses that do glass lenses:

    1. Persol - found in sunglass hut.
    2. OTIS - Australian brand. A good range of trendy styles and all glass lenses. Reasonably priced too - around $200.
    3. Spotters - Another Aussie brand. All glass lenses and polarised. Mostly makes wrap around style sunnies for hardcore fishermen, but also makes a couple of more trendy frames.

I tried on loads and ended up with a pair of Spotters for $250 and DFO Brisbane, just because they seem to fit my (big) head a little better than the OTIS ones I tried: https://spotters.com.au/product/riot/

Really solid feel to them and very impressed with the quality. Both OTIS and Spotters look and feel a lot better quality than the Ray-Ban New Wayfarers I was checking out IMHO. 2 year warranty too.
