  An Advent calendar is a special calendar which is used to count or celebrate the days of Advent in anticipation of Christmas(from wiki). Many traditional calendars have chocolate where as the Lego ones have Lego to build.
  
  I'm a big fan of the star wars ones as the ships are to scale to the much larger UCS models but each to their own.
