      • +2

        yep. I'll message now.

that's a good deal. corporate pricing on this is $200+

really good dock for the likes of T495, check compatibility with your model before ordering. 2 display ports are really useful.

  • Can you use this with other devices?

    • +1

Good dock, works with my 2019 xps 13 2in1.

    • +1

Yeah they just use displaylink drivers. You can use the generic ones from Display link and it will work on other devices, done it many a time.

    • +1

Works on my Surface Pro 7.

    • can't get it to work with my 9350 xps 13" - everything but the display is detected.

  • What's the maximum USB-PD charge rate?

I have a similar Lenovo dock, which only allows for 20V/3A (60W) output, which means Windows 10 complains about it being an undersized charger constantly.

    • 60W
You can also plugin your laptop psu directly into your laptop if the output isnt enough, this is what I do with my P1 gen2 - coz their recommended TB3 one is like $550

      • +3

That defeats the purpose of a AIO dock

    • 60w is enough for most 13" notebooks (eg XPS13 and MBP13), others will charge slower and may deplete the battery while plugged in and under load

I run a 60w with an XPS15 and it's very rare for it to exceed the 60w under office work

  • I wonder if i can connect a USB C portable display to this dock, does anyone know?

    Thanks

    • +1

I have the older version of this dock and have just tested with a USB-C portable display (ASUS MB16A) and it works

Good price, paid $269 4 months ago

    • does this allow you to power on/off your laptop without opening it?
      Thanks!

      • Yes you can if you are using Thinkpad. I found the power button on the dock only works for my X1C and P1 Gen 2. I got another HP EliteBook 840 and seems I have to power on using the power button on my laptop

        • Great, thanks for getting back to me

  • Does this come with a charger & USB-C to USB-C charging cable? From the description it doesn't seem like it.

    • +1

      Should come with both.

      • +1

Yes, It comes with a 90W power adapter and a USB-C to USB-C cable

      • Cheers

  • shame it's a US model apparently. otherwise can do price beat.

    • Where would you do price beat and how do you know it's the US model? I'm concerned it will come with us power supply…

      • +2

PSU will be universal, you just need a new mickey mouse cable or bend the pins.

        • Right, thanks

        • +1

Lol never heard it called mickey mouse, but picture it immediately!

          • @reubenb87: Could someone please let me know what the cable is called I would need to get.
            Thanks in advance!

            • @MrFizz: C5, should be cheap at Jaycar or a little more at Officeworks type store.

            • @MrFizz: It's called a "cloverleaf 3 pin power cable".

        • You will not have grounding if you bent the pins, because the us ground pin is round and will not work in an Australian socket. This is extremely dangerous and do not try

I hate how hard it is to find out what mechanism USB docks are using for their video output, but this appears to be using DisplayPort alt mode over USB-C, which is better than DisplayLink but not as good as a TB3 dock would be.

If the USB-C connector or Thunderbolt 3 connector supports DisplayPort 1.4,
–One video output connector: up to 3840 x 2160 pixels / 60 Hz
    – Two video output connectors: up to 3840 x 2160 pixels / 30 Hz
–Three video output connectors: up to 1920 x 1080 pixels / 60 Hz

If the USB-C connector or Thunderbolt 3 connector supports DisplayPort 1.2,
–One video output connector: up to 3840 x 2160 pixels / 30 Hz
    – Two video output connectors: up to 1920 x 1080 pixels / 60 Hz

    • Dumb question for you. Just wanting to confirm this means if my monitor supports 144hz it will only operate at 60 when plugged into this?

      • Depends on the resolution you're running. At 4k, no.

Damn it, out of stock…. I was looking for one of these. All the good stuff always disappears so quickly.

  • i snoozed and i loozed

  • Damn I bought x2 of these recently for $299 a pop..

  • This went out QUICK .. I needed one for my new ThinkPad .. =(

  • Anyone have any idea how long to expect on shipping?

  • I would grab the Thunderbolt 3 Gen2 Workstation Dock. It works great with my MacBook Pro. I initially had to use a PC to update its firmware but now its great.

  • We have had a metric butt tonne of problems with these paired with Lenovo L390 Laptops, mainly sporadic ethernet lockups for for minutes and longer in Teams/Zoom meetings, been hearing crickets from Lenovo but there has been several firmware updates, don't believe our problem has been fully fixed yet… other than that its a nice dock

  • Anyone else having a big delay in their order?
