I find it difficult to shell out the same amount of money for an inferior product. Plus pay delivery fee on top (despite the service likely charging the restaurants an arm and a leg).
Not saying their cooking isn’t up to scratch. But for the same money I used to pay for eating in a nice restaurant getting food cooked fresh to the ideal point I am now getting something I need to reheat, plate myself, serve myself and clean up everything myself.

consumers are being conditioned - once pandemic is over, less competition allows these restaurants to jack their pricing claiming it was never sustainable and if you were prepared to pay $x to do all hard work yourself, let's charge another 35% to give you an "in store experience"…. these service providers are taking the piss and our laziness is allowing it.
The only one seems worth it for me is la tortilleria but I'm biased towards Mexican food. The value you get for the quality is great whether you eat in (when you eventually can) or takeaway.
