One of the best I've used

I hate shaving. Hate hate hate hate the Sisyphean task. I've tried a lot of electric razors in the pursuit of minimising shaving effort - most of them ended up irritating my skin. Got a OneBlade. Still hate shaving, but damn if it's not a lot easier now. Best electric I've ever used.

  • Given the current climate in Victoria, has anyone tried to shave their head with this? I'm getting desperate

    • I have the pro with the length adjustment, tempted to try a fresh fade with it haha

    • Not in Victoria, but I got the Pro and shaved my head with it quite regularly (every 3-4 days). Most instances, it cuts close to but not razor close (which is what they are designed to do anyways). At times, I top it off by shaving with a normal Gillette razor.

For head shaving, yeah, these are perfect. I would prefer using them than other electric shavers I have (though I miss getting the close shave with Razor, hence why I top it off sometimes). But using this, you wouldn't get any burns or cuts or anything, very comfortable to use.

Just beware, you'll eat through the blades quite fast this way. You might get a month or so usage out of the blades, depending on how thick your hair is.

This is a pretty good deal, it's usually about $55 from Shavershop etc but this comes with an extra blade

Really amazing for a quick and lazy shave. Leaves a fine stubble but no irritation and I have sensitive skin

  • Any deals on replacement blades?

  • Just happen to see the Oneblade Pro on Amazon is $80

any comparison between Oneblade and Oneblade Pro ?

Only difference is much better battery and a single adjustable comb rather than manually swapping them

Tbh I'd rather save $20 and get an extra blade worth $20-ish

      • Seconded this. If you don't need the comb, you'd not miss much on the normal one. That being said, I chose the pro as a) I need the comb to cut my son's hair (btw, the oneblade pro is the ONLY shaver we bought that didn't pull on his hair. And given COVID, don't want to go to a hair dresser) and b) I like the extra battery and not having to charge as much.

But YMMV, and for me the extra $20 was worth it for my purpose.
