  • It's for a SONY E-MOUNT.

    • The description does say E-Mount. Leica L-Mount is also available.

The sigma 24-70 for e mount is an OK price too

  • This thing is a heavy huge bazooka. I was tempted but then after seeing the size and weight in person, got the Sigma 35 f/1.4 for $789 instead.

Also got the Sigma 24-70 2.8 when it first came out for $849 much cheaper than what the price is now… The only time I've found a lens price to almost double.

didnt know the 2470 was $849 when it first came out. Otherwise will buy 10. Did you need to use any code?

        Sorry my mistake - I paid $849 for the Samyang 85 1.4.
The Sigma cost me $1,295 - so I guess $1,529 isn't too much more

I managed to get the 24-70 for the same price, so lucky. Sigma realised they messed up on the price big-time. great lens. Also have the samyang 85. So glad I pulled the trigger on switching to Sony last year. got the A7R3 for $2800 from one of those videopro ebay sales. That price now seems like an ancient myth!

@eggboi: That's a great price for the R3. I got my A7iii for $1,899. Was super happy with that. Also had ebay gift cards ready and managed to get TRS on everything :D

Thankfully sold all my Olympus m43 gear and pro lenses a few months ago (before they announced the sell off)

    • I think you're thinking of a different version of the 24-70…

      • see reply above

        • haha sorry - I had the comment typed and then got distracted then hit send… was gonna delete but you're too quick!

    • is $789 for Sigma 35mm 1.4 now?where is the deal?

    • It's a bit of a bazooka, but I'll be using it on my Sony FX9, which is a bit of a bazooka itself.
