This may be a dumb question but for those of you with 28 Degrees Shopper's Protection, do you know if you can buy gift cards using the credit card then purchase an item using those very gift cards and receive price/merchandise protection on the item you bought?
I couldn't see this in the PDS nor could I see it mentioned in the forums unless I glossed over it.

Even if you could, you would not be better off
Eg you buy a $1000 item for $950 through giftcard purchases. 6 months later price drops to $800, you can only claim the price difference for the portion you paid using your 28 degrees (ie drop from 950 to 800 ; not 1k to 800)
Pretty sure the answer is no. One of the question is what is the date of purchase (which will be your gift card on the statement) but the receipt will show a different date.
