Suggest a Replacement 27" 1440p Monitor?

Hello,

I need to replace a Dell UltraSharp U2711. Paid $600 in 2011.

I'd like to stick with at least 27" and 1440p.

About 20/80 gaming and general browsing / programming. Not really sure what other specs I should care about for this type of usage? Not overly worried about colour tech. Higher Hz would be cool, but not critical.

I don't have a hard budget, but would like to walk away with a good monitor under $400.

Suggestions greatly appreciated!

    Viewsonic VX2758 2KP or whatever it is called would be what I'd be looking at.

      Aren't these problematic for NVIDIA GPUs? It would be high up the list for me, would it not be for the compatibility issues I have read.

    I'm interested in recommendations too. I've been looking around and have my eye on this one (sub $500) but not too sure how much I should care about HDR because that's probably the only thing it does have.

    I was using a u2711 since june 2010 till late last year when i changed it to a 27GL850

    You can sell the 2711 for $200 or so on gumtree and up your budget to $600 you will have alot more options.
