Hi Guys,
I have about 20 old video cassettes from a Panasonic camcorder of the kids growing up and would like them put onto a hard drive.
What is the easiest / cheapest way of doing this ?
Any suggested products that I can do this with ?
Cheers

I bought one from Aliexpress two years ago for $7.
It was annoying to get working, but it did. I eventually had it playing on a screen and recorded the screen using OBS. But it didn't turn out too well as it flicked between colour and black and white occasionally.
I'd spend more money if I were to do it again.
The camcorder itself may have composite outputs via a cable/adaptor.
Thanks. I’ll see if I can work it out with what I have first
You want something better than $7 for your kids memories
Get it done properly and also store it on USB drive as well, I like the Samsung Bar
If you have a player with composite outputs (yellow, red, white) then you just need a usb video capture device like this https://www.amazon.com/Elgato-Video-Capture-Digitize-iPad/dp…
You can find cheaper ones, but may be of varying quality/ease of use.
You can also pay someone to do it for you. There are plenty of conversion services based in Australia if you search online, but I have no idea which are the best value. I'm not affiliated and have no idea about their price or quality of service, but this is one example I found on google http://retromedia.com.au/services/digitising-video/
