I'd prefer the 4k because if something does happen, it's likely to capture a number plate better than 1080. Don't really need to record hours and hours of footage of just driving.
I have the normal a129, so far no issue with reading number plates. Yeah sorry for a bit off topic. I guess because I rarely use my car and it's parked on the road, I would prefer longer recording in parking mode
I have an a119 and no problem reading number plates. It’s more down to frame rate than resolution alone. I have a Xiaomi 2k dash cam, but the footage is clearer at 1080p60fps than it is at 2k30fps.

It turned up within a few days of ordering.
I didn't go for the 4k version as it eats up space on the sd card and IMO while resolution is superior it's unnecessary.

Had one of these when they first came out - couldn't handle the QLD heat when in parking mode and would switch off in 15 minutes. Went back to Blackvue with the DR750S. I also have an A119 V3 which I use the CPL filter with and can highly recommend it!
Oh that's a shame then, mine would be in Qld in a black car. Is your a119 ok but the 129 not?
I don't use the A119 in parking mode admittedly - was too lazy to hardwire it up but it seems fine! Even in normal driving mode, the A129 Pro would shut off sometimes whereas the V3 doesn't.
I bought 119V3 from linelink. They are selling dual model for $229 but if you make an offer they will give you a better deal.
edit: Sorry, just realised there are two models - pro is $349 but make an offer and see what they can do. They are based in VIC though so shipment may take longer than usual.
I followed your advice and asked them for any deal, they gave me a 5% off code and got the A129 duo for $219 delivered. Have a A119V3 in wifes car, so interested to see the A129 duo for comparison in my car. Hardwire kits came in @ $28 each with the above code so reasonable deal.

If you could wait awhile, end of this month they will release the a129 plus. Personally I think 4k recording for dual channel dashcam will result in less footages stored. Biggest endurance card is still 256gb last time I checked
