Looking to sign up for a vpn and one that I can preferably have on my samsung tv as well (will most likely get a firestick).
What are people's suggestions as there's too much differing opinions on vpns I seem set on getting like ExpressVPN.

I was with PureVPN and they were good at the start, but then the speeds were shocking
How long were you with them for? I've heard the likes of NordVPN for instance will give good speeds during say the initial one month you join (where you can cancel) and then progressively drop them.
i bought a 2 year subscription through one of the stacksocial (or something). First year, it was fine. 2nd year, started noticing dramatic slower speeds.
I've seen other users mention this Mullvad one in other posts, but I've never heard of the others you've mentioned before today.
Options options…
Will check that website out though.
It's a great website for comparing :)
Hopefully others will have first hand experience around speed for some of them.
My Getflix works on the Samsung TV, it loads the US Netflix via the TV's app, not Chromecast. Too bad they took away the other countries.
various VPN from shopback or cashrewards often have 90% money back.
Express VPN

By turning on a VPN from Melbourne to Brisbane onto Los Angeles
In the [[[speed test]]], I experienced a 23.80% loss in speed and a 2.58% increase in ping.
PING
Using TPG connected to Melbourne node:
Ping to Los Angeles 208.79.89.243 (167ms)
Using Surfshark VPN connected to Brisbane :
Ping to Los Angeles 208.79.89.243 (183ms)
SPEED
Using TPG connected to Melbourne node
Speedtest to Windstream - Los Angeles, CA (93.94 Mbps/33.66Mbps(310ms)
Using Surfshark VPN connected to Brisbane :
Speedtest to Windstream - Los Angeles, CA (75.88 Mbps/24.77Mbps(318ms)
Would I recommend?
Yes, if your purpose is to use a VPN that is fit for purpose (stable/avoid geoblocking/75% speed maintained)
What happened to Private Internet Access (PIA)? I've been using them for years and have been good. Only issue is no Netflix which others claim.
I checked this site for reviews on PIA to see if it was still good then came here because we've all got the same thing in mind.
https://www.techradar.com/au/reviews/private-internet-access…
I used to like PIA in recent times I've found the speed to be a bit lacking. They used to be really good.
I currently using PrivadoVPN which has been good with speed. I can't vouch for them in terms of accessing websites in other countries though. Small number of servers. It came with a subscription to another website.. Visiting their webpage suggests they are not selling direct to the public just yet..
In any case I think one to keep an eye on should that change.
What's the likelihood of another 90% cashback on a VPN anytime soon? I'm looking at Cyberghost VPN at the moment, as cashback and a deal on their site make it $50 for 18 months ($2.7/m) which is ok for something that does a VPN job but also a bunch of other things (password manager, ad blocker etc).
I recommend doing your research here: https://thatoneprivacysite.net/
Ones I had considered before: Mullvad, PureVPN, Trust.Zone, VPN.ac
