Hello, everyone.
I just bought a house. The Sentricon Always Active system for Termite was installed by the previous owners. This system requires regular 3 months inspection to all stations.
They charge me the $770 for the Termite Inspections and then monitoring and bait replacement if required for the coming 12 months.
It is the first time for me to own a house.
Do you think it is a fair price?
So assuming that previous owners have had a experience with termites and so paid to install this, you can then assume that initial flush out during installation worked.
But its still a risky termite area, so assuming you can keep the parts installed around your house (ie not a rental) since they are basically plastic holes in the ground you can set a email reminder each year to check for termites and/or replace the sentricon yourself for about $200 for 4 rods (link dont work, just ebay it).
Also depends on how much wood is in your home, really don't want joists getting eaten away if you are forgetful/cbf inspecting yourself.
