The Great Courses Plus is offering a 1 month trial, normally 14 days. Similar to Udemy but monthly plans where you can access all of the courses. Lots of interesting courses but nothing IT related. With their partnerships with National Geographic, Smithsonean, and The Culinary Institute of America there are some high quality courses (or documentaries) to pick from.
Some interesting ones (to me):
- The Instant Sommelier: Choosing Your Best Wine
- Music as a Mirror of History
- How to Sing
- How Great Science Fiction Works
- The Art of Travel Photography
- The Fundamentals of Travel Photography
- Language Learning for German, French & Spanish
And to level up as an OzBargain professional:
- The Art of Negotiating the Best Deal - A prerequisite to JB Hi-Fi pricematching.
- Understanding Investments - Is that high yield car investment worth it?
- Write About Anything - One step closer to a hot discussion thread
- The Art of Debate - Apple vs. Android, Caged Eggs vs Non, TGA Approved Masks vs Non…
- Law School for Everyone: Contracts - Be a qualified Internet lawyer.
If you cancel, service access will terminate at the end of the current paid billing period. During the free trial period, cancellation will terminate access immediately.
Best to put a reminder in your calendar. Sign up for the monthly plan ($25/month) so in case you forget it's only $25 instead of $56 for the next plan up.
It does say the following:
Monthly membership plan includes a free 14-Day Free Trial starting today. If you cancel during the trial you will not be charged. One free trial per customer.
First Payment A$25.00 (+tax if req’d) on 09/12/2020
While it says 14 days, the next line is 1 month later. Just ensure your first payment date is 1 month and not 2 weeks.
You can confirm in My Account. To cancel, there is a cancel membership link.
Works for Android, iOS, Roku, Amazon Fire, Chromecast, Apple TV, etc.
It appears that a free trial is part of essentially all online learning websites, it does not seem to be a bargain
