Just received an email from JB and noticed a little blurb on free delivery that I’m pretty sure I haven’t seen JB offer before. Probably trying to keep sales up due to stage 4 restrictions in Melbourne?

Edit: seems to apply to bigger items like fridges/TVs too

Depending on your needs, you can choose from our express or standard delivery options.

We also offer a Store To Door service in a number of areas, providing same day delivery from your local JB store for a flat fee of $5.

The safety of our customers and team members is our number one priority. Social distancing and hygiene measures such as face masks and hand sanitisation are in place to provide zero contact deliveries.

  The free delivery over $100 is due to the stores in Melbourne being closed from stage 4 restrictions so people would be happy to order online without a shipping fee

    Didn't Dan Andrews say that masks was our stage 4? So we're in stage 5 now.

      From 6pm on Sunday 2 August, if you live in metropolitan Melbourne, Stage 4 restrictions apply.

      A curfew is in place between the hours of 8pm until 5am. This means you must be at your home during these hours. The only reasons to leave home between 8pm and 5am will be work, medical care and caregiving.

      The four reasons that you can leave home remain, but further limitations are now in place for:
      1. shopping for food or other essential items
      2. exercise (applies to outdoor exercise, and with only one other person)
      permitted work
      3.Caregiving, for compassionate reasons or to seek medical treatment also remains a permitted reason to leave home.

      As much as you can, you must stay at home. When you leave home, you must use a face covering, unless you have a lawful reason for not doing so.
