Don't buy from bangood. Ever since i did i got lots of spam email. Anyone else?

    • +2

Why not just unsubscribe them or mark them as junk. Simple.

      • +1

I mean emails like I've won $10,000,000 and inherited $12,000,000.

        Scam emails.

        • +4

That has not been my experience. The e-mail I use for them has never received spam. Sounds like a coincidence.

    • +1

Not me. I've been buying from them for quite a while and never saw an uptick in spam.

  • So it comes with 2 different adaptors?

    • +1

No adaptor. They send the charger with plug type you chose

  • Last time I ordered the old model it came set with AU plug . Not sure about this one though. It will at least come with AU adapter.

    • +3

This has the Aussie end to it. Blitzwolf state it on their website as well.

  • +5

This one is an AU plug as per the listing. It'll do 18W QC 3.0 in one port but with 2 in use it'll go down to 15W total.

    • why do two ports combined get less power than 1?

      • The chipset they're using in the charger is designed to do it. Cheaper than having a chipset that'll do 36W.

        • -1

is it possible to do 9W + 9W?

          • +1

@lostn: The max this charger will draw for both at the same time will be 15W regardless.

            • -2

@Clear: i'm aware of that. And I think it's dumb. Imagine it was your job to fold paper aeroplanes, and you can do 10 a minute. But if your friend helps you, you each suddenly can only do 4 a minute for a total of less than if you were doing it alone.

              • +2

@lostn: Yes it is but BlitzWolf/Banggood are selling these near cost so the cheaper options are the better ones for them. Then again they've always cheaped out on their chipsets.

                • @Clear: i'm not blaming blitzwolf. I think whoever designed the chip made a weird choice.

                  • @lostn: Designed to offer a QC port and a normal 5V port basically.

              • +3

@lostn: It's more like you can fold 10 aeroplanes per minute using both hands but if you use your hands independently (ie, folding a plane in each hand at the same time) then you can only fold 4 planes per hand, totaling 8 per minute.

                • +1
                • @strikeout119: you'd have to be a mug to do things with your off hand. Folding your plane with one hand is hard enough even with your dominant hand.

Have 1 of these from a previous deal, quality charger, I use the QC port with a original Apple lighting cable, has 11 pro max battery full in no time.

  • +4

Have the old model for about three years now and it's still going strong. Can't fault blitzwolf

  • +2

You might think the new version is better, but it may not be.

Either port can support QC 3 (up to 18W) from the chipset. However, as soon as both ports are in use, QC support is essentially off. Both ports would fallback to 5V (up to 1.5A max) - hence the 15W. This is typical for single chip design nowadays.

It's different to the older version where you have 1 QC port and 1 dedicated 5V port. Sure, you must use the right port for QC, but at least with that arrangement, you don't lose QC when the 5V port is also in use.

I plug in both type C and lightning cables. But most of time I only charge one device, just save my time to switch the cables

      • Um, that combination doesn't make this version worthwhile to be honest. Lightning (Apple) uses USB-PD so any true / proper fast charge would require USB-PD/USB-C. Essentially, for lightning, you are using 5V charging. That combination actually makes the older version more compelling, as at least in that version, when charging both, QC is still there and with USB-A/lightning, you can only do 5V anyway.

        • Try the normal USB-A lightning cable on this plug, you may find something not like what apple announced.

Would this be ok for a Samsung S7 ?

    • +1

      Yes it will be fine.

  • Thanks OP I got 1. I have 2 of their older chargers and several BlitzWolf cables for about 2 years. Very happy with everything.

  • Bought one a few weeks ago. Used both ports for charging, both ports doesn't charge well - I figured because both were in use. I used one for wireless charger, even the LED came out error - the other port to charge iphone and they dont even charge at all.
    not happy chap.

  • I remember i bought previous deal cheaper than this. Am i confused with other model?

  • +2

    Shows as $28.11 for me.

As far as I can tell only the Chinese warehouse stock is on sale for the price, not AU stock?

  • what about this one? The price is close but more outputs and W

    • I'd be a bit wary of generic chargers as there are many ways to cut corners. Brands like Blitzwolf have been torn down and tested by sites like lygte-info and goughlui and been shown to be well-made, so at least there's some assuarance there.
