[Responded to] Virgin Mobile - Did you receive an email saying "your loyalty has been rewarded"

I'm about to go off post paid contract in a month or two.

I just received an email (links seem to be from Virgin and an opt in Virgin website) saying that

… over the
next 6 months Virgin Mobile would like to credit your account
for your mobile ending … with $120 in total.

You'll score $20 bonus credit every month for 6 months

Thats $120 in total

To opt in simply click the button below

You can still upgrade, leave or change your plan, you just
forgo future bonus credits if you do. Your existing plan
terms remain unchanged.

I'm just wondering if anyone else has seen this and if they got different offers?

    We used to get them occasionally when we were on Virgin years ago.

      Ah no. I've been with them ages, several phones and contracts. I've brought in a number of friends and family.

      It's the first time I've encountered this.

      Oh and probably unrelated, I've had to sort out heaps of messes that they've made :S

    i only have 2 months left of my 24month contract. it might just be a way for them to try and convince you not to upgrade early to maximise their profits

    Well, just got the bill and they did not give me the credit this time. That's after just 1 or 2 of the 6 credits they claimed they were going to give me.

    (I'm wondering if the original offer was a good will gesture, after they tried to give me a bill for $300+ when my actual bill was just $30-)
