Are These Seats Mouldy or Worn?

I'm looking at purchasing a boat but noticed that the seats and steering wheel look worn or mouldy - I couldn't tell.

Would like your opinion as to if this is just mould that can be removed or it worn vinyl seating/ steering wheel.

    What engine and drive in that thing? I'd be much more worried about that than the vinyl.

      MerCruiser 3.0l stern drive - replaced with a quicksilver repower a few years back.

        The only thing I noticed was minor rust around the exhaust risers. Still much better condition than most others I've been.

          They may not have used sealant on the gasket when putting it together. I'd recommend getting someone to check it out still, check for oil in the drive, check the bellows etc.

            @brendanm: Thanks mate. Great advice! He did take me out for an hour drive and went well, didn't overheat and got over 40mph.

            Would you agree that this other one I looked at needs new riser ASAP?

              @[Deactivated]: It doesn't look great, and the issue is that you need to do the manifold at the same time, as that also has salt water running through it.
