I was in Anacoda the other day trying some Columbia trousers, happened to check Google and they were $100 less in this sale. Asked if they price matched and was told yes, as long at there is a physical store.. found a physical store in Victoria so that was ok, showed the price and they could no longer price match :D
What was the reason given?
None, and I didn’t press for one, just said they couldn’t match that price. I went outside and ordered while in the car park.

Why do they describe their Silver Ridge pants as UPF 30+ when all pants provide that protection and more to people's skin? Can't say I've ever heard of someone getting sunburnt legs wearing trackies. Do they mean the pants themselves are resistant to sun damage (eg fading)?
uv rays actually do get through clothes especially with all the lightweight, sweat wicking fabric. Kinda the same as thinking you don't need to put on sunscreen on cloudy winter days.
From what I understand, UVB causes sunburn while UVA causes premature aging. I wear sunscreen every day of the year because of the latter. Is it UVA that gets through regular clothes, including 100% cotton?
Columbia made a great winter jacket, but the prices here are nothing special in my opinion.
