So I've had it with Boost. And anyway, their $150 / year deal is largely gone.
Who now provides the cheapest unlimited calls / text over Telstra? Don't care about data.

Can only see a $25 and $40 plan at Belong.
Can't do Optus or Voda - unusable at my place unless you're a contortionist who doesn't mind having all their conversations at one corner of a particular window.

You should see a Small 1GB option
Unfortunately not.
@fantombloo: https://www.belong.com.au/mobile/plans/small-sim-plan
"The Small 1GB Plan is only available to existing customers."
Wow :O
That sucks!
"If you're already on the $10 plan, this won't affect you. You'll remain on the plan.
Once you've signed up, you'll be able to change over to the $10 plan at the start of your next billing month. You can also stay on the $25, switch to the $40 plan or cancel the service. "
@shrugies: Geez these mobile vendors are useless. I wanted to confirm with them that I could sign up for 1 month at $25 then drop it to $10 so I called them - recorded message says go online and hangs up.
Thanks for the info. I might just go back to Aldi $15, can't be arsed dealing with these vendors who are too lazy to even start taking my money.
I'm waiting to move to Woolworths Mobile later this month from Boost. Same Telstra coverage and same $150/yr plan (84GB) but if you sign up for their rewards card, you can get 10% off for one shop a month. So one $150 shop a month will give you a discount of $15, essentially subsidising the mobile plan.
Not sure why I am being negged. It's still Telstra coverage and with the discount, the deal works out almost free every month and there's also data (which there's no compulsion to use).
Sounds like a good deal. I'll look into it. Thank you.
Not same. Telstra retail vs wholesale
Okay. Take your point that Boost is wholesale but woolworths is not
Just be careful, the $150 deal is only gone for new customers as an existing customer its still available
The $150 and $100 recharge vouchers will no longer be for sale to new customers”.
“As existing customers have already been informed via SMS, The $100 and $150 recharges are still available to any Boost Anytime Plus customers who recharge using a credit/debit card or paypal on the Boost App, boost.com.au or #111# “.
Now if you are feedup for other reasons ok, but dont leave thinking you cant continue with your $150 deal.
I think Boost apart from Testra itself is only way for 4GX network, plus there are the overseas calls
Belong $10/month with 1GB data
Optus network alternative: Dodo $5/month no data
