Oh yes, it's the number one mixer of choice, as voted by the AU liver pickling association. Usually combined with Goon or Spumante for best affect.
I'm actually just getting into brandy. Some decent french xo like bardinet for $40 outshines anything I can find for that price in the world of whisky.
Still, value proposition decreases markedly as you get into the 70-90 dollar range.

Most often see it with a Dry - in the glory days of Brandy Premix St Agnes used to do a Dry and a Cola pre-mix, for some reason
