Guinness Extra Stout 375ml 24 Bottles $60 @ Dan Murphy's [Members Offer]

180

Even better than the 2x6 pack of the normal Guinness for $30 thats also on offer. If you are here, you know what this is or do need to try it:-)

It wasn't labelled yet but came up at Marion as $60. Dan's also lets 4x6 go out as a case of 24 in case packs not available

    Why is it better?

    • +1

      extra stout

    • Because 2x6=12 and 4x6=24 and 24 bottles of beer is better than 12 bottles of beer. Big brain thinking!

      • :-(. Now the C.I.A know where I am again.

    • It’s a better flavour

    • In terms of discount, you are getting a 'premium' Guinness ate the same price per unit as the standard product, which in itself is a good deal [ and easily found from my flag ].
      Fair Question.

    • Guinness Extra Stout is higher ABV so if that matters to you then it's more standard drinks for your buck (1.4 per can of regular, 1.8 per bottle of extra). It's also fuller in flavour, but o me it's subjective whether somebody will prefer one to the other.

  • pretty awesome price !

  • Where this this brewed in?

    • Australia, under licence. :-(. Quite drinkable tho.

      • Ewwww, Bul.

        • Is there a noticeable difference?

          • @shiny1: Yes, very much so.
Primarily related to the water here in Melbourne compared to Dublin and associated recipe differences.

            • @Wolfy: What's a suitable stout in the same price range that you would recommend?

              • +1

@shiny1: Best cheap Australian stout is Coopers Extra Stout.

On a side note, those who enjoy the above may want to give "Little Creatures Coconut Banger" milk stout a go. Malty/vanilla flavour hints and very sessionable.

Can be found at Murphy's at the moment but it's a limited batch.

Stout tastes better when consumed with mates.

    Says a guy from Melbourne.

  • 2 x 6 pack of Irish made Guinness (or Kilkenny) will get DM Members a free Guinness glass as well for their $30 outlay.
