Seems like good value, but pretty sure pickup would be against covid rules?

What makes it good value? Officeworks is selling electric standing desks from $399. So why is this one worth $690, not to mention the inflated RRP of $1050.

      • sounds like a staff who commented that. $690 doesnt sound cheap at all

Pickup is definitely against the rules. OP you should take off the post as someone may report you

    • EDIT - Nevermind. Rep clarified.

    Country of origin?

I assume the pickup option is available per the DHHS rules: “ Retail stores will be permitted to operate contactless 'click and collect'”, https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/updates/coronavirus-covid-19/pre…

not a deal! Only 120cm wide, not even a dual motor. Better options at officeworks, ikea, etc

  • For this price I'd jump on the Omnidesk which comes up slightly higher. More configuration options available, super sturdy, dual motor.

  • Why do you need it to be electric? can't you just set it at a level and leave it?

This is for people who alternate between kneeling, sitting, standing or whatever position in between.

Like me. I can't imagine what my daily life would be without such a desk given I've been WFH since mid March.

They are for when you don't like electric chairs.

I have this type of standing desk at work. I don't know about price, but if it helps the desk is very sturdy and the 1500mm one (although I seem to have 1600mm) fits two monitors and a laptop. I'm quite tall (1.90m) and when fully extended the desk is OK for me.

  • I like this but I need at least 1800mm x 900mm version with PC mount and as far as I can research, none can offer it and even with Omnidesk at nearest dimension (XL), it's over $1.1k.

    Looks like lost cause

    • what i would look at is getting just the frame off ebay for around $350-400 then get a top elsewhere ie bunnings

        Ooh…. that's an idea.

          see my comment below

  • Costco (WA) had one for $500…

  • I got this one couple months ago

$361.79 +$36 NEXT DAY delivery + ~$100 of wood from bunnings

    can recommend, especially delivery speed.

  • That's expensive, and the original price is funny.

I'd recommend the dual motor variety, such as this one. Good desk, frame is very solid, motors are not straining at all. I have an Artiss standing desk, which seems to be the same as this just different name. I paid $460 on ebay a few months back in sale.
