Recommendations for Low Power USB Monitor

2020… Say no more.

Currently living in an off grid situation and have been short listed for a WFH position. The job specifications stated a preference for a second monitor.

Currently using a HP ProBook 430 G5 running Windows 10 Pro 64 bit 16gb Memory Intel Core i7-8550U CPU @1.8 Ghz

My biggest issue is power. I need to use as little as possible. Small footprint for storage is the second priority.

As much as I'd love all bells and whistles, light on power usage, and physically light and sturdy are actually the priorities i have.

I'd be running zoom sessions invigilating. Would only need to use the second monitor for a maximum of 3 hours in a day, if at all.

Most monitor site specs don't seem to mention power as if it is a given. I don't pretend to know what I'm looking for or what will meet my needs best. I'm hoping the OzBargain community will draw a consensus and make this transition easier for me.

Asus Zenscreen MB16AMT maybe. Not cheap though, but some similar ones out there. Only issue is stock on the others. Also depends where you are to get access to stock. If your remote it could be an issue anyway for delivery to remote address.

    • I'm Sydney based atm. Thank you. That monitor is brilliant

Search on eBay or Amazon for 15.6 inch portable monitors — lots of them for around $200 that can be powered via USB. I found those great as a temporary monitor where you just take out & connect to laptop when you need that extra screen estate, and then pack away when you don't need it anymore.
