Are we able to accept jobs or are they limited now?

Yep, you just factor in their fees and let the clients know how much it has to be and why.
It was more feeling worthwhile more than making money. Been sitting on my arse for 6 months and quite frankly am over it with this new lot of lock downs. Just want to do something to fend off the madness starting to seep in.
So can you take a courier job for someone that wants something delivered as an airtasker and not any formal 'courier'?
I'm wondering whether I'll be able to hire help for moving house later this month. It seems it takes a couple of days after the announcements before all the little things are clearer.
You can.
Rules say you can move if a contract or lease was signed prior to stage 4. If it’s signed after you are actually not allowed to move at all.
Movers have to ask and sight evidence of it being prior to stage 4 or they risk being fined. (Housemate is a mover in Melbourne)@jimbobaus: Cheers, had already given notice on my place though don't have a lease signed on a new place as yet. I might be out of luck.
You can take a job with a courier company or form your own business but I doubt one off jobs classify as essential.
Very much doubt the work is essential. Stay at home!
so back in your moral box
You want pine or oak for yours?
Yeah, suicide is through the roof since lockdown.
No it cannot be legally done as it is not essential.
Stay at home!
There are people that want to work so that they can put food on the table and pay their bills. Staying home isn't going to do that.
https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/work-and-study-metropolitan-melb…@whooah1979: It doesn't really matter if they want to work or not. If they are not providing an essential service then they should be at home and AirTasker is not an essential service. Notice how the OP did not mention the type of work they want to do, as they know full well they shouldn't be doing it.
Dan Andrews was very clear in his statement "I am asking people NOT to go to work"
@[Deactivated]: Is the VIC government paying OP to stay at home? If they aren't then Op have every right to work under the current rules.
Essential services could be something as simple as lawn care, cleaner, home delivery, labouring, etc.
@whooah1979: Please, please inform yourself and do the right thing. Dan Andrews literally said in his announcement:
- No cleaner coming to your home
- No having your gardener come round
Those things you listed are not essential and should stop for the next six weeks. We have been doing this since March, there is no excuse for ignorance anymore. This type of attitude is the reason a $5k fine for selfish actions has had to be introduced.
@[Deactivated]: The rules are in the link.
https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/work-and-study-metropolitan-melb…However, if you cannot do your work from home, you can go to work.
@whooah1979: That link is for Stage 3, we are in Stage 4 as of this evening. Seriously, just stay at home.
@[Deactivated]: It is easy to say that when working WFH. The reality is many residents don't have that luxury. They need the money and the VIC government isn't in a position to pay them to stay home.
If you can do it online, why not?
You can’t go anything that’s not emergency or essential.
Not correct , people can work from home and go to their local PO for posting for non essential businesses .
My wife took a few projects on last week and we have just had to tell the clients that we can work on what they ordered but can't deliver or install until it's allowed.
Of course you can. Register for an ABN and start looking for work.

Real question is can you make legit dollars off airtasker
