      Yeah, but take it with a pinch of salt.
      In order for it to charge using just sunlight, you have to switch off almost every feature on the watch, and the incremental charge it provides when using it normally, appears to be fairly light.
      Given you can get 2 weeks out of an Instinct without even trying, I'm not sure what market this one is aimed at.
      Still, a step in the right direction (pun intended)

        I think it's more of prolonging rather than making the battery life unlimited. Instinct is sold as an "adventure watch" so I guess there are some people who want to do multi-day trekking under the sun?

        Normal Instinct has 40 hour battery under GPS UltraTrac mode, but Instinct Solar can do 145 hours, and 68 days in "Expedition mode" where it wakes up once a hour to record down GPS location.
